So... we have DBs in the portal who's agents are asking about our QB situation

But the best WR in the portal is considering FSU 1 day after hitting the portal and no questions are being asked?

Why does this **** only apply to Miami?

I'd be making sure DJ is portaling out before I even considered that possibility. Kromenhoek is worse than Emory Williams.

In part probably we aren’t as attractive overall as we’d like to think.

I'm well aware of that and been vocal about it.

But FSU... UGA... Michigan (they have money now so ok I guess)

Death sentences for a WR. None of them have a QB. None of them have a good OC. Michigan doesn't even have an OC. Bobo and Malzahn are probably 2 of the 5 worst OCs in America for a WR.

I’d give it about a 2% chance he goes to FSU, I just wouldn’t believe that until I see it…

But if he does, that would obviously sting really, really bad. On top of the obvious on the field reasons +

- FSU has no established QB either
- They are in the bull**** *** ACC just like us

So if he ends up there, unless he just grew up a die hard Nole (which I doubt), then they just outworked and outbid everyone for an a special physical talent and we can’t let that happen. It would be a colossal failure by this staff.

Florida I at least could understand, but FSU?! Foh

It's something a lot of people aren't going to be happy to hear but it is definitely starting to seem that way. We were in the national spot light with one of the most exciting players and offenses in the country, we were in the playoff convo up until the last week of the season, we have a very good NIL program setup and have shown if you come here and ball, you can really expand your "brand" (Cam got like 20 sponsorships in his one year here), and at almost every position we can sell playing time and yet we still had a subpar class in the recruiting department. Mario may surprise us and pull in a crazy portal class, but with the looming questions we have over the team and coaching staff and QB, we don't seem to be on the top of top players minds at the moment.

Boys have the #1 offense in the nation with good NIL **** doesn't make sense to be honest

How are we not attractive all we have to do is turn on our 2024 offensive season highlights. Our NIL department is already proven with the amount of big ticket players we brought in last year. Make it make sense. We had a million questions last season after 5 then 7 win seasons, and we still landed the #1 portal QB so we'll get one of the top QBs again.

This is 100% mope.

We just had the #1 offense in CFB and have a Heisman contending QB; how could we be in a worse situation than last season. Our proof of concept is there and, while OCs coach and call plays, they don't have exclusive rights to play books or style. The narrative was about Mario being anti-offense "Bro Style" and "QB killer", but now that mopey narrative has been dispelled and we can sell the best offensive system in the nation.

I'm basing my statement off of how we did in recruiting this year. Regardless of those offensive highlights, we didn't bring in a single "elite" type skill player on offense. I like Upshaw, Toney and Moore as well but none of those guys are "Elite" in the Dakorien Moore, Caleb Cunningham, or Kaliq Lockett tier. Considering the tape we put out and the fact that we were the only P4 team to have 5 guys go over 500 yards receiving, there should be guys busting down the door to play in this system right? Make it make sense.

I stated it's possible that Mario surprises us in the portal and pulls in an elite haul and makes up for the underwhelming recruiting class, but based on results so far this year in recruiting, I am not sure we are as attractive as we think we are. Especially if we are not willing to "overpay" for guys, which in and of itself is a BS talking point. No such thing as overpaying in this game, you either play the game or you don't. Some one will be willing to give your guy what he's looking for and you either get them or you don't. Talking about what we did last year in the portal means nothing as it pertains to this year.

Very Online Fans have weird, oftentimes wrong views of their own rosters. For instance, last year we had a ton of posters saying Restrepo was holding back our offense and we’d be better if he transferred. If he had hit the portal, and opponent fans were reading this board, that’s what they’d have seen.
