Who said he was perfect for Miami?

On the flip side, according to CIS -- he is the only coach that can never grow or improve.
You want Mario gone because you believe he wont get us over the hump n will always lose when it matters so on n so forth.. So your solution is to replace him with Crybaby Lane who is known for the exact same thing? has he not reinforced what he is as a coach this year? He would turn from yalls savior & hero to yall mortal enemy the second he pulls a Kentucky here at Miami i guarantee it.

Who said he was perfect for Miami? Or that everyone wants him at Miami?

So your choice is sticking with someone who likely won't vs. searching for someone that may? --- has he not reinforced what he is as a coach this year?

Should have saved money and stayed with Shannon since he was a Miami guy and would never leave for the SEC or NFL either.

He just makes up **** and then argues against it because he actually "gets it."

If you're gonna move on from Mario to get a coach who puts us in better position, lane kiffin shouldnt be in the conversation, that's my point.

If you give me Dabo or Smart sure. I just don't know who else we could get to elevate where we are is the issue. We hit 10 wins this year. If we hit 9 or more next year and stay there or better I'm good with it if we can sneak into some final 4s sporadically. I don't see anyone out there who guarantees you that at Miami.

i wonder if this same convo was being started January 8th last year, 5 days before we landed ward

not looking good but making these kind of narratives before the roster is finalized and before the games are played is naive
I would argue that Mario would’ve been better served to not get Cam this past year. If we had to trot Emory or some 2nd rate guy out there, nobody would’ve expected a big year. Instead he got the best player in America, that went on to lead the best offense in America and Mario and staff STILL blew it.

It was one of those “better to remain silent and have people think you’re dumb, than open your mouth and prove them right” situations.

I’ve said it many times and will say it louder for those in the back - we caught lightning in a bottle in ‘83 for our first NC and it took an improbable 2pt conversion stop to win it. It was 10 years between #4 and #5 and we have reverted back to what we were pre ‘83 - a middling program bumbling through a weak conference with little chance of returning to the “glory days”.

Times have certainly changed and we haven’t kept up until very recently. Whether or not the recent “reinvestment” in the program will bear fruit is yet to be seen.
Good stuff. I think right now we do have a lot going for us that is working. I think same time it’s very tough to be a team outside the top group

We see some teams flare up like an ASU and that’s cool. Will remain to be seen if that’s a blip or it can actually be consistent. My hope here is that the floor for Miami is raised to a level where we can be a consistent top 25 team and then have those years here and there where we threaten the playoffs

Same time the landscape is constantly changing at the moment so who knows? But end of the day it’s going to be hard to win championships if you’re not in the top tier of programs (which duh right?)

I feel optimism about the program but also we still can’t get to the **** ACCCG so that’s always a slap in the face of reality
