Would you Move on from Mario if Given the Chance?

I'm a "no" right now. Am a charitable guy, so I give him a mulligan for the first year. GTech last year was the most absurd thing I've ever seen, and while I usually enjoy absurdity, that was too much for me. He won 10 games this year and nearly got to the playoff. Ended horribly though. I wouldn't replace him now per your assumptions. He needs to make the playoff next year though.

If we tread water and we don't make the playoff next year I'd probably be "yes" while realizing he's not going anywhere. If we are a ~.500 team or worse next year, I'm a definite "yes" and hopefully folks who matter around the university would be too.

Call me a mope, but I didn't want him to get hired in the first place. I think that as bad as the ACC is there are much better coaches in it than Mario. But, as a realist, I recognize that he is here through next season and probably the following one too.

So then take the actual good up and coming coaches and ask yourselves which ones want to come to Miami, a team in a joke of a conference that hasn’t won a **** thing in 20 years, and what do we really expect here?

And let’s just say by some miracle we do get someone like that? We are a stepping stone and gotta do it again in two years

Or are we still clinging to the fantasy that we can catch lightning in a bottle like we did in the early 2000s? We had Portis and McGahee and Gore and…right now we aren’t allowed to recruit over Lyle

Just curious how many people would hit a reset at head coach RIGHT NOW if they could. Here are the only assumptions (I know they aren't realistic):

1) There is no buyout, basically we get the Mark Richt deal

This roster will change before game 1, but if your determining factor for Mario is playoffs next year, what about the roster as we know right now says "playoff" to you, because it doesn't. So aren't you setting yourself up for major failure if that's your expectation?
