Who would you hire for HC?

no more coordinators for me bro. Being a coordinator and HC very different.
Most head coaches have been coordinators. The key is if we go the coordinator route, we have to get a coordinator who has been in a consistently successful program. And what ever side of the ball he has coached should be a high performing unit.

If you're familiar with the the way Memphis approaches recruiting & their lack of resources you would get why they can't field a great Defense.

They're a G5 school that doesn't spend a dime on recruiting & doesn't have the regional base to land a bunch of high rated recruits, the majority of their players are Juco's & Grad Transfers, how on Earth could they assemble a good Defense given those limitations?

I’m not asking for a 85 Bears defense. I think he’d be a good option but just would be worried bout who he’d bring to be his DC

I think you take whatever money you can muster and start upgrading assistants. The best OL/DL money can buy, I'd also probably fire half the staff this year, and get guys that can recruit and teach.
This is a really good idea considering we don't have the resources to get rid of Diaz yet.

Dan Enos..... what a joke

However this is a fairly detailed list of names. I really wished we would have hired Yost (now at Texas Tech) or Yurcich (now at Ohio State and makes $900k) instead of Enos and had more money for better supporting staff

Being a DC isn't that difficult at Miami due to the access of talent we have, as long as you're not a complete moron like Baker or D'No, all you have to do is put the players in position to make plays by simplifying the scheme & allowing them to utilize their speed to their advantage.

UM doesn't seem to have the willingness to spend the money it takes to get it right. However, they don't seem to mind spending on the cheap to fail over and over. I have no faith that UM will ever hire the right guy - or even look for the right guy.

Not Christobal. Getting shutout at home to cal in the 3rd qtr with a first round qb.

I will be very interested to see how he does next season after Herbert, a guy he inherited, is gone. If he keeps up this current level, I would feel better about his potential candidacy. If he turns into a guy living off of other coach's recruits, it's a no go.

Stop saying Miami doesn't have money

They spent ******* $4 million buying out their coordinator who just left for Temple to bring him back. They just spend it foolishly

for here at Miami, Stoops is the best on that list. Flog me but i'd still hire Butch over any coach we've had since, well Butch

Mike Norvel. A sign of a good coach is what they can do with limited resources. He has done an amazing job at Memphis. Imagine what he would do in Coral Gables?
