Who is starting at Qb?/Who do you want?

Whoever looks most ready by UL gametime should start. Most likely Heaps.
If Williams is making a miraculous recovery, he should start the FAMU and Ark St games and get his timing down for the rest of the season, since an experienced QB that can protect and distribute the ball is what this O needs.

If Williams isn't ready, I hope Olsen looks good enough to start games 2 and 3 and get ready for a much more dangerous Nebraska.
If Olsen and Williams are not ready, continue with Heaps until they are.
Kayaa and Rozier should red shirt unless the team is playing for 2015.

this.

Heaps will start the season and it is his job to lose moving forward. Coaches are hoping that a healthy Ryan Williams will push Heaps and the two will battle for the starting spot. Olsen will be the third all season and Kayaa and Rozier will redshirt. This is happening. Remember to come back and look at this post in September.

I think Jake Heaps will start. I wish Trinidad Brad is so good, the coaches can't bench him. I find the second scenario highly unlikely.

Heaps has been a marginal qb whose advantage in experience is offset by his inexperience in our system. He and Olsen are a tossup to me. Sure he came here to start but who cares what he wants. And they were smart to bring him in even if they knew he'd be backup--if olsen breaks his hand on our first play you'd otherwise be looking at two TFs.

Heaps or Williams. Olsen 3rd, with Kaaya and Rosier RS.

Of course a couple of injuries can change everything. And, injuries are not rare, as we all know.

Whoever can check the ball down to Duke, make an accurate throw on a WR screen and not turn the ball over.

I hoped Olsen would have won it outright.
Now I hope Williams bc he is a known
I'd say heaps after that.

Unlike my disgust with what our corches have done to the defense, I think the offense will be better this year. Just get a manager in there who doesn't turn the ball over. We are loaded at skill positions. This team will be able to score.

Whichever guy wins it outright, I am intrigued by heaps, but hoping baby jesus grabs the reigns.

If you're playing for this year, I'll take the 5th year toss up rather than the RS Freshman that allegedly has maturity issues and completed 7-21 passes against our defense in a **** spring game with no crowd noise--who mind you has never taken a real snap (that's more than "inexperience").

Interesting considering so many people on the message boards say Golden hasn't recruited well.

He hasn't recruited dt well. You could make an argument for lb that he could've done better. I'm not a golden supporter but he's recruited great on offense. Look at our OL recruits this past February.

I haven't seen the offense struggle so much under golden. I have no problems on that side and just think we could be better on that side this year.

Defense though, different story IMHO. But not because of the player talent.

But ima stay positive for once in a while and say we won't struggle on offense regardless of who wins the qb job.

If Ryan Williams is healthy he's the guy. A know your role QB that won't make the big mistake and get the ball in playmaker hands as quickly as possible is all I ask for.
