Who is starting at Qb?/Who do you want?

The reality is it doesn't really matter. Whoever starts, there is a plethora of weapons that defenses will be unable to contain. Heck, I occuld be starting and we'd win 10+ !

I think Heaps is more insurance than anything. Don't see him starting.

I was leaning towards Olsen even before the Williams injury. Olsen performed very well in spring till the spring game.

Right now. I'm leaning towards Kaaya with Olsen 2nd. Would have Olsen 1st but the off field issues and the suspension and spring cooled me off. I've felt very good about Kaaya for a while.

For now, Kaaya.

Who knows when Williams will be back. Think staff has more wishful thinking more than anything.

I don't care what ranking Heaps had coming out or what teams he was on. IDC if they were lesser talented teams. He wouldn't have thrown so many more picks than TD's.

Think it's more false hope than anything, people hoping for Heaps to be something here. I don't see it. Better chance with Kaaya and Olsen.

You're all over the place. Ain't no chance Kaaya starts. Zero chance.

Even if Williams is throwing I can't imagine he will be 100% for the first few games.

Hopefully olsen has been putting in serious work during the summer and we get a legit QB battle going. I think Heaps wins the job, but would love to see Olsen take the reins on this offense.

I don't care one single bit what the starters name is as long as he can perform the task at hand.

Feel good story, Ryan Williams.

Odds on favorite to win the job, Heaps.

Best athlete and the skill set to head the direction we should go, Rozier.

If the others aren't ready, Kaaya as it'd be nice to have him get a redshirt.

Bend over and grab your ankles because it's going to be painful to watch, Olsen.

Williams if healthy. Hopefully Heaps gets a good grasp of the playbook ASAP. If Olsen doesn't start and excel this year, I don't think he ever will. Way too much talent coming in for a slacker to hold off.

You want perfect here it is.
1.Olsen comes to camp and blows up, plays for two years and goes to the league
2. Kaaya plays for two and goes to the league
3. Jack for two or three

Who ever is much better than The Mummy (Morris). That rules out Olsen and Williams.

So maybe Heaps, a guy whose former team decided to to switch to an offense where the QB tucks and runs every play as opposed to ever letting him drop back and pass, is the answer? By default, I guess. When a program changes their philosophy just to avoid having a player under center, it's not good.

UF would have cherrypicked this kid in a second if he was the answer.

If Morris faced us in every game last year, we would have finished 11-1 or 12-0, and Dorito and Golden would have had their top 40 defense.

I would've settled for facing Driskell for those 12 games, but Morris would've done in a pinch. He couldn't throw the short routes and our secondary would be waiting in the end zone (after bailing at the snap or already halfway there) for the long pass. You might be onto something here.

TIFWIW but i hear the coaches think Williams will be ready by week 1 or 2.

Lol you do know Russell Wilson was the truth before he got to Wisconsin
I can really see Heaps having a story book season. He started out strong at BYU, and has hit some bumps in the road since then. He knows this is it for him. He has 30 starts, he's married. He's a mature guy with a howitzer for an arm, and I can see him hanging some big numbers on the board and never looking back.

He's going to be this year's Pat O'Donnell as a transfer. I can easily see Heaps doing what Russell Wilson did at Wisconsin when he transferred there for his final season. Al has shown a tremendous acumen for pulling in transfers.

Yep, IN, and wouldn't it have been great if opposing QBs ran out of bounds on third or fourth down right before the chains, and then faked a limp? That alone would have made the difference last year!

Instead of slow, white, non running/non passing QBs walking fifteen yards upfield on 3rd and ten, they would have been punting!
