Who is starting at Qb?/Who do you want?

all this cynical deep-inside-mopes have brought faulty optimism.

every real canes fan would know who those people are now.

these are the emo kids who are too cool for school and "say" they are die hard.

for some strange reason, they like our Canes but still trash them.

mods should ban these people.

Heaps is gunna be the guy all season. Starting Ryan Williams was much about his talent as it was being the one season between Morris and the next group of QBs and Heaps provides the same buffer with a similar amount of production. I don't think golden will stick with Heaps like he did Morris, but he's got the keys to the car. Then 2015 will be the year of the Kaaya

I can really see Heaps having a story book season. He started out strong at BYU, and has hit some bumps in the road since then. He knows this is it for him. He has 30 starts, he's married. He's a mature guy with a howitzer for an arm, and I can see him hanging some big numbers on the board and never looking back.

He's going to be this year's Pat O'Donnell as a transfer. I can easily see Heaps doing what Russell Wilson did at Wisconsin when he transferred there for his final season. Al has shown a tremendous acumen for pulling in transfers.

Heaps to me would only be there if the younger guys couldn't pull it together to me because there's no building there. Say Heaps does come out just being slightly better than the younger guys in camp that doesn't go well with the process of building this program to reach new levels as many have been drawing comparison of this season to the 2000 season. We want to know who's going to be the future and not be in the same position next season wondering who's going to start now. Yes there's a lot of hype about Allison, well he could red shirt his first year, he's not until 2016 anyways. So if any of the young guys here this year are doing good and his commitment should still stick if they play up to what we've been expecting the starter would be out of here after 3yrs and 2 for Olsen. We are trying to build competition at every position and if you want to play you have to be the best.

The way you build for the future is by winning NOW. Win NOW and you get recruits. Get recruits and you build a better team.

The best chance we have to win NOW is with Heaps, IMO.

I hope Heaps does well for us.

Heaps is NO Russell Wilson, in any way.

hoping that Heaps starts and wins every game with Ryan Williams coming in to back him up

then Kaaya takes over in 2015

personally i hope Ryan williams is healthy and ready to go but if not id love to see Kaaya out there.

2014: Olsen starts until Williams is back, I expect during Nebraska week. RW is the leader of this team, Duke and Perryman already said that during the ACC Media Days.
2015: Kaaya wins the starting job. Olsen transfers.
2016: Kaaya wins National Championship. Allison Reshirts. Kaaya declares early and goes top 10 after winning the Heisman.
2017: Allison starts, wins Heisman and National Championship, NFL makes exception and allows him to leave as a Sophmore, because he's too good.
2018: Lawson Starts, wins Hesman. Goes in the 1st round.
It'll happen, just watch.

If everyone is healthy then I want Ryan Williams if not then Jake Heaps and I think Heaps will be starting.

You guys pinning your hopes on a true frosh QB…I just don't get it. Our best chance is that Heaps can come in, play with poise, deliver the football on time and in-stride, and let our studs on offense go eat.

I think Heaps gets the nod.

I feel badly for Williams. But if Heaps plays well in the first three games, we may never see Williams.

And I think Kaaya is our guy in 2015. Baby Jesus transfers and saves some other team.

I think Heaps is more insurance than anything. Don't see him starting.

I was leaning towards Olsen even before the Williams injury. Olsen performed very well in spring till the spring game.

Right now. I'm leaning towards Kaaya with Olsen 2nd. Would have Olsen 1st but the off field issues and the suspension and spring cooled me off. I've felt very good about Kaaya for a while.

For now, Kaaya.

Who knows when Williams will be back. Think staff has more wishful thinking more than anything.

I don't care what ranking Heaps had coming out or what teams he was on. IDC if they were lesser talented teams. He wouldn't have thrown so many more picks than TD's.

Think it's more false hope than anything, people hoping for Heaps to be something here. I don't see it. Better chance with Kaaya and Olsen.

Heaps is gonna make his former schools regret his transfer.

Thats very nicely put.

I'm in favor of starting the winner of the summer competition between Heaps and Williams.

That said, I will pull for Ryan Williams to WIN the job. He's a Cane and has waited his turn.

All that said, I will support whomever is named the starter.

My big hope is that it's not Brad Kaaya. There's far too much downside to him starting than there is upside.

Ryan was a transfer, too. Not sure because he's been here a little longer that makes him more of a Cane.
