Whale Watch 2024: The Miami Whale DL Scorecard

It's been a long shot that we ever make it near the top since we fell off.

NIL game and super conferences were the final straw.

Best I've hoped for is a solid year and the outlier being an ACC title. Give us a solid run every 4 or 5 years, have a fun and respectable program. **** is just too wild to compete year after year.
Makes no sense to spend 80M on a head coach for those ****** goals.

Makes even less sense for him to leave Nike $$$ to come here and get handcuffed NIL wise after one year.
Been almost 2 years since Mario left Oregon and at that time, I don’t think anybody knew NIL was going to be like it is now.

Unless we pull some kind of miracle this class has officially killed any hope of seeing Miami even near the top ever again. Those saying it’s not NIL just stop. We had it rolling last year now we don’t all of a sudden. Either we ain’t paying or others got better but doesn’t matter the outcome is the same. Our top guys will probably get flipped at this point.
Lol

Kinda mad I was busy at work and missed Simmons announcement.

But hey guys I’m sure no one is overreacting, cause as you can see by the image in OP, the fact we got into top 3 shows we outperformed expectations in this recruitment - by a lot.

Focus 100% on at least one of Breland, Franklin, and Stone + keeping our 2 studs we already got.

Just how bad is our NIL compared to other schools right now? We need to get the bum *** recruiters off this staff

Some of you on here really are among the most miserable fuc*s that have ever walked the face of the earth.
Bruh it's hot, we went 5-7 last year, we aint got no recruits, we aint won a bowl game since 2016, and we aint never won the acc. We can't even get out of the acc. **** can change but right now, it's pretty ******* miserable around here

So what's Big Game Joe been up to?

As of 7/14/23, this is where we’re at:

Jayden Jackson is expected to choose Okie and Stone should follow suit. I don’t expect McCray, Stewart or Breland given how things have been going. So that leaves us with Franklin and Artavious Jones as must gets who we probably have the best shot at - unless someone knows otherwise. Land those guys and add them to Lightfoot and while it’s not the DL version of last year’s OL class as we’ve envisioned, it’s still a solid haul.

I’ll update this OP with the scorecard as it develops.
Isn't Stewart committed to USCe?
