Jeezus, that is a 16-17 year old high school kid?
He looks like Patrick Willis.

When his mom told me, yesterday, that they were "REALLY" feeling Miami, I had no idea that they were feeling the U, so much, that he would pull the trigger today!!! I'm stoked!

I am glad we got the commitment, I would much rather have one than not have one. But I am not getting my hopes, he seems like the type to bounce for the SEC when they come calling.

great looking prospect though.

We have to hold off the SEC for this kid

right now he only has one SEC offer but if those test scores and grades are good it will be interesting to see what SEC school offer him and turn up the heat

Sounds like Auburn and UGA will be the 2 to keep our eyes on. I have a good feeling about this kid though.
I think he sticks but I would watch out for the whole SEC if everything gets straighten out like most think it will. Pretty sure he is a Gator fan he has UF gear but the staff is obsessed with Clifton Garrett and likes a few other LB's at the moment. Young can play inside outside and can even be a pass rusher.

This kid has grade issues but is going to Miami and the SEC does not want to touch because of said issues.

Is this real life?

Derrick Griffin, Young says it is just a test score

Griffin had offers from TAMpon and Auburn. Not to mention academic powerhouse Notre Dame.

A & M took his commitment more for publicity they were never going to let him sign a LOI

Even if that is true, there is Auburn.

What next?

They also didnt let Griffin sign the LOI that is how he ended up signing with the U. It doesnt matter anyway it looks like Young is going to get it down scholastically and he is a great pick up.

Wow amazing stuff, got a source. What about Notre Dame? Another fake offer?

It matters because what you said about Young and grades makes no sense.

What purpose does that serve?

Griffin, source for that. Makes no sense.

The idea that an SEC school like Auburn is holding off because of grades is comical, especially if Miami and UNC offered. He could say it himself, just real dumb of the SEC bc of a test score and he isnt even a senior.

Dis Ole Miss fake offer Young too?

Griffin was not allowed to sign LOI for A & M and Auburn. There are a ton of stories about A & M letting him go because he didnt have the grades and test scores. It has been talked about at ad nauseum.
