Week 6 Rankings - AP #17, Coaches #17

I honestly don’t care where we fall in the rankings from week to week until it’s the final week. We’ve played one team worth a **** so far. Beat them pretty good but it’s still 1 good opponent. Now if they’re undefeated still after Clemson and still not ranked top 15, then that’s a problem. The only thing that’s frustrating is seeing these SEC teams constantly ranked when most most of them suck. UF, LSU, and Tennessee have no business being ranked. Alabama is too high.

The Texas A&M conversation is hilarious. All other SEC teams with a lot of 4 and 5 star recruits are top 25 with 1 loss, LSU has 2 an they are still top 25. Apparently, though, they haven't seen enough from Texas A&M to have them ranked, even after they have dominated 2 SEC teams that prior to the season would of been looked at as good teams.

The national media is now saying "Texas A&M looks like a completely different team with Johnson at QB," to try to justify the loss to Miami as if the offense is better now then with their QB for Miami. The numbers show that is just not true and Max Johnson and is not Caleb Williams. But then when they actually talk about A&M it is all about how good the defense is, the same defense we went up against and scored 40+.

They don't even know what to say, they are preparing the "Texas A&M is a new team with Max Johnson that is why they beat Bama and not Miami, if they played again they would beat Miami and that is why they are ranked over Miami."

The SEC will always get the credit in these polls. They are attempting to justify LSU in the top 25 because they lost to two teams in the top 20, but if Ole Miss loses this next game and LSU wins, they will still be in the top 25. Its all about preseason rankings, you will get credit for where your opponent was prior to playing them, but won't be damaged with what happens after.

Interesting that Vegas has been on that train a bit. A&M was a touchdown road favorite against Arky yesterday, a team that had just played the mighty LSU to the wire. Most of the game day crew had arky winning outright.

I placed a small wager on A&M after watching the talking head/Vegas discrepancy. Easiest money in cfb is when the tv experts can’t grasp the vegas line

How tf is LSU still ranked?

Still too much remaining Brian Kelly love because so many AP writers are Subway ND fans

It’s just a fact that a 1-loss ACC team will be ranked lower than a 2-loss SEC team going into November. LSU just getting a head start. The only way to flip that script is for Miami and other ACC team to keep beating SEC teams when we face off against them.

As far as our overall ranking I’m not too concerned even though there are a lot of teams on the list that don’t deserve their rankings. If Miami and UNC are 5-0 headed into our matchup, you can bet all eyes will be on that game and the winner will jump into the Top 10. Heck UNC may even be there going into the game if they wallop Cuse.

We won’t have to worry about anything

If we keep winning, the media loves us because we are good for ratings. If anything over the years we have constantly been overrated

Nothing to worry about with rankings

As much as I’ve started to hate Oklahoma because of recruiting, they’ve been as impressive a team as I’ve seen this year personally (up there with Oregon, us, a few others)

Next few weeks this stuff will start to shake out
I've been looking at their scores and they are taking care of business so far unfortunately.

It’s crazy!!! TAMU should be ranked and Duke should barely be ranked, let alone only lose 2 spots after they just lost their QB.

Also, Oregon St is good but they beat an Utah team without their #1 QB.

People hate Deion but should be rooting for him. 1) Colorado being good while in the Big 12 brings parity which is good for various reasons 2) People complained so much about the good ol boys club of UGA and Bama running CFB for years, well now the tides are turning 3) Aint this the same energy we loved about UM back in the day?

UM beating Colorado doesn't do us any favors
