Alabama couldn't stop Vanderbilt. Georgia couldn't stop Alabama. Ohio State couldn't stop Oregon. Do you people watch any other teams on Saturdays?

Don’t do that. You know **** well what @Dwinstitles means. I don’t agree (I do wish we did though) we need an elite defense. An average defense would get the job done.

We are *** juice that’s been sitting in the sun fermenting for a week on defense. Without the cupcakes (USF, Ball St, FAMU) our defense would probably be 110 or worse.

Just getting to the playoffs is huge for this program after the last 20 years. This team is to show kids you can win at Miami at a high level again. A legit NC roster is probably 2 years away

And it’s more than that, we play stupid *** ball sometimes, which does not cut it in big time games. I believe we are good enough to go undefeated and win the ACC which is a great year. But imagine if we play bama. Milroe running around and throwing it to that kid Williams. **** would be a nightmare. Offense would have to put together a legendary type game to beat teams like that. I’m talking Cam going 2019 burrow and being super efficient and taking care of the ball. No more of that gunslinger ****. Every possession is critical

Playing Russian roulette without a defense that makes more than one stop. Eventually we may face a defense that “holds” us to 38 while they score 42.

how would we cover OSU wrs? They have enough talent on the OL to give that goofy QB time and thats enough for them to get open. How will we create pressure vs similar OL talent vs similar DL talent we present? Bruh you need some sort of defense if you want to compete with top tier teams thats just how it is in the sport when its late, NFL playoffs its the same ****. You need a defense bruh you have to trot out 1st round potentials at every level of the defense and we do not have that vs top tier teams its just facts fam.

I agree with your first post, but disagree with this one.

You don't need to trot out 1st round potentials at every level, but you do need competent play. Jaquan Johnson was a 6th round pick (and is currently unemployed). Rayshawn Jenkins is a 4th round pick (and still going strong in the NFL).

Both would be gods amongst men if they were in our secondary this year and would make a world of difference.

Today changed my mind about this team, and I agree with the OP.

We are probably a playoff team on offense alone, but very flawed on defense. Reminds me of an LSU team a few years ago that was beating everyone 55-54

The good news is that most teams out there are flawed.

You have 3 one score wins vs mid level ACC teams. That won't fly against better teams. You need to play better bc you can't expect to score 50 against those better teams, especially power run teams that can chew the clock.

Who's a better team without flaws. Name me one. Please don't say Texas.

Agree with that assessment. Just making the playoffs would be a success this season, and the offense alone could carry us that far. Really worried about how could look next year without Cam and X though.

its not the play calling, guys are getting beat in 1v1's and pursuit by some players looks like they need to upgrade those spots.
