We have somehow gotten worse each Week

Also the screen pass to Freeman for the TD. NO 1 accounted for him, if you are going to blitz fine, but you can't leave a RB wide effing open. Literally there was no 1 near him and he strolled in the end zone.

It was the 2nd quarter we rushed 3 and dropped 8 ppl deep. Jameis checked it down to Freeman b/c no 1 was open downfield, and he was unaccounted for.

We didn't allow a punt until the 4th quarter, guys were left uncovered. Literally on 3rd and 10 no 1 was even close to freeman for 8 yards. We have more talent than WF and they moved the ball at will against us.

Forcing a pick is better.

Jameis made a couple of bad throws, guys were wide open. He just forced the ball in the wrong areas. He adjusted in the 2nd half and torched us..

R U sure about that? Because in the second half they came out and ran the ball down our throats. Once the game was out of reach they started throwing again when the pressure was off.

Your prolly the same poster who ask why we don't blitz more.

When we do blitz we have guys blowing their assignments and not reading their keys.

First drive of the 2nd half they scored mainly in the air, the biggest run was 8 yards.

How much time left and what is ur ****ing point?

My point is that you guys are blaming the poor defense on lack of talent when it is clearly scheme and coaching. It's not hard to figure out when guys are wide open and unaccounted for. Do you see Stanford doing this on defense, how many 5 star recruits on defense do they have?

So this fraud Mark D'Onofrio has been running a scheme that is actually setup to leave players wide open for his entire coaching career? And people still pay him tons and tons of cash to continue teaching and deploying said scheme? Seems legit.

It was against FSU, it was 3rd and 10. Winston checked it down to Freeman in the flat and there wasn't any 1 near him for 8 yards.

So what. This happens no one has clue what you are talking about.

Its one play. I dont even know what happened or remember it at all. Clearly it means a lot to you. I think you are making a mountain out of nothing. Keep porsting.

AG was talking this morning (wqam interview) about how crucial it is to play assignment football & gave an example of this exact play... Said we were in man coverage & that the QB should've been forced to ground the ball. Instead, LB freelanced, assignment was blown, 6 points for the other team.

??? So we get worst every week but Lamarcus Joyner just said we were the best team they've face all year that would include Clemson as well....Joyner with in game experience vs our team> OP coaching from CPU.

I find this pretty remarkable but it seems like our team has gotten worse each week. Starting with the big win over UF, we have regressed every week since then. Am i being too unfair?

We are, who we have been the entire season. There is no regression going on. We are a sloppy team offensively, and mediocre defensively.

Again you guys are blaming talent when Stanford doesn't get the great talent but play sound defensive football.

there are just some guys that are on the field that should not be there (not going to name them because there are a thread about them every day), FSU had plays against our week players, i think we are all in agreement that our LBs are very weak in coverage and they exploited that, i said this in a thread before about our scheme, it only works when you get pressure on the QB if you dont teams will gash the D, we got little to no pressure on winston and he picked apart our zones, our secondary minus the one with a million threads is really good, teams are just exploiting our LBs and their lack of coverage hence those crossing routes for big plays

it took jim harbaugh til his 4th season, and david shaw has been keeping it going.. once you put a system in place, and recruit for that system, it's much easier.. look at VT.. VT is succesful because they have had that system in place for YEARS, and they recruit to that.. they know the type of guys they need to be successful.
