Watching this game reminded me of...

I think FSU did a good job of overloading small spaces. Example - the sack Cici let up. FSU blitzed the C gap and the end/tackle hit the B gap. Cici had no help and whiffed on both. I also saw Mark Fletcher whiff on a blitz pickup. McCoy got destroyed by Jackson one time. It happens.

All the teams we’ve played up til last night decided to take away the run and make us beat them with the pass. Last night was the opposite.
This was definitely a “You hold my right hand down, I’m gonna beat you with my left hand.” And we did. Lost in the boring game is how Mario & Co. toyed with Norvell & Co. Shows the versatility and resiliency of this team, a decently good team. We have to remember, the team can only scout and prepare for what FSU have shown all season, gotta give credit to their coaching staff for preparing their team in the face of having imploded this season. They are a cat cornered fighting desperately. In the end, it wasn’t good enough. The better team prevailed, however off Cam was, and he did look tired during the pregame walk, don’t know if anyone noticed the dark circles around his eyes, for whatever reason. First thing I noticed. Here’s to 8-0, on the way to 15-0! Next week, the Cuban Coffee Edition, Mario vs. Mandy…

That McCoy Jackson play I didn’t rewind that but looked like Jackson had a penalty on that one. Had McCoys facemask or his neck but could be wrong

The refs certainly interjected their own feel to the game whenever things threatened to get exciting they were sure to put a stop to it

for sure, you gotta think everybody will be using that against Cam Ward from here and out.
Everybody can’t do it. You got to have the corners that you can trust to man up on the outside. I dont see a team left on the schedule that has the corners to do it. And with the running game going now you are going to have to choose how you want to get dominated

Maybe but I think he just had leverage on McCoy. It happens. I would have to watch again to know for sure.

The fact that a 1-7 fsu team shut down our passing game which is supposed to be elite is extremely concerning. I just don’t see how this team can beat any of the p4 playoff teams. If Cam goes bonkers maybe but our Superman appeared to have met his kryptonite with that fsu gameplan.

Let’s hope we make some adjustments because I thought that Dawson was mediocre last night calling the game
Man u one negative *** ****

It's nice to have a game in which we win by more than a TD, the past three games have been wild

It was awesome to see Fletcher get the first TD; someone must have been cutting onions in my section around the time of the score.

Hard Rock Stadium hasn't been kind to Snubbed over the past year.

Good to see the offense take what we were given and have a resounding margin of victory behind a great run game.

Played with no turnovers, and needed that for this game.

Frustrating to see us lose edge contain, overrun defenders, and miss tackles. Although, I thought the defense had a decent enough game when looking at the first and second-half stat sheet. There are just some continued moments that are painful to watch.

In re penalties, the roughing the passer was the only regrettable call I remember, but we also need to figure out our pick-plays and how not to get those calls lol.

Yeah no sense in nitpicking your point because it’s a good point

I suck trying to pay attention to OL and I know you’re good at it so figured I would ask

Takes me about 4 rewatches to have a clue what our OL is doing and then I read PFF grades and I give up again

I think our fans are struggling with what we watched last night

I’ve never seen an FSU game like that. I think because in the past when we have outclassed them they were trying to fight us, talking **** etc so there was always a nastiness to it

Norvell has those guys playing like choir boys (relatively speaking for the rivalry)

And they suck. I’m not sure Miami or the fans knew how to react to that type of energy

Thats fair. It was effective. As I originally said though I still would love to see more than just up the gut. We have the players and it forces defense to stop us multiple ways on the ground.
It’s also not just this game. We’ve seen no creativity and diversity at all this season in the run game.

Teams can go with the two high 5 in the box scheme but that’s why we have Martinez. Dude hit for 10 a carry and by the end of the game they wanted nothing to do with him. And that was only 15 touches for him and Fletcher each.

One disappointing thing that I thought we could have taken better advantage of was the TEs and backs out of the backfield on passes. The 22 yard pickup by Martinez was there a lot (we didn’t run it but the space was there). The underneath stuff to the TEs was also open all day. They weren’t just playing 2 high but they were dropping everyone except for those 4-5 in the box. I was waiting all night for one of our TEs to delay release for big chunk plays.

I will say for as well as we ran I thought they would do more play action. Maybe they did and I didn't realize it but I don't recall much of it.

Exactly. We punted once in the game.

The game is 60 minutes long.

FSU was leading for 0 minutes, 0 seconds.

It was tied for 2 minutes, 35 seconds.

Miami was leading for 57 minutes, 25 seconds.
You could also say we almost went to half time up 14-7 to the 1-6 team this brilliant brain trust of a board said we’d curb stomp by 50. This same ****** team sacked our Heisman leading qb 5 times, took away his passing game, and had us chasing their freshman qb around like a Benny hill skit. Thank God that kid couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn throwing it. So good job moving the goal posts from we are gonna kill these guys to we covered the spread.

Dawson doesn’t like using the TEs. I said last night this was a game for arroyo to go off but Dawson just ain’t gone do that

You always take what the opps defense gives u. With that said, Shannon should be scheming up plays for that 2 high look come next week to keep the defense honest and off balance.
