I also wrote in this thread that the defense seemed good this year through the first few games, and although I knew it was because of the competition and I was realistic about expectations...I was wrong in that assumption. Our schedule was much easier this year and our D has been atrocious.

I'm not calling for anyone to be fired because thats not my place, but I love the ignorance of some posters to call people crazy at the beginning of the season to be realistic and not expect every year to be the GOAT canes team.

I'll believe in the defense when they prove it. Duke and uva both dropped 40 points on us last year. I don't care how improved they are It takes more than one year to become dominant when you were pretty much the worst in the nation

I've been saying it since the 1st season and then the mantra was wait two recruiting seasons and we will see a huge improvement. LMAO. Guess what K9 it is the scheme you ******* moron. The biggest issue I had back then was not adjusting to the tools you had meaning the aggressive nature of the kids we had recruited. Make them sit back and play passive and we are still doing the same crap today. This isn't Cane football and sure isn't Cane defensive philosophy. For Golden to say he is in tune with our past, bull****. We shutdown the great OU and Nebraska O's with aggressive speed defenses. Read Switzers book and the chapter, Oh, but for Miami... We are so far from what made us great. But wait, we need just another 3 recruiting classes. smh.
 
I've never seen someone leave a forum so fast. I'm sure zone will be back next year in time to call all other posters idiots for their opinions and claiming we have the best defense in the nation again.
