UTough

throw that in there with us not having to sign 2-stars from Buffalo on signing day anymore

While I get the spirit of the post, Gaines may not be the best example for your point. He's no Spence or Morgan, but the kid has been productive. Jeffrey Brown from BFE, Illinois, might better make your point.

except brown was a juco aa this year - he is not a bad football player

delmar taylor, asante Cleveland, kelvin cain are better examples

People were praising Cain and Cleveland 2 years ago.

Man who the **** was praising Cain?

Cleveland yes, Cain no. Something must have gone down with Cleveland for him to not see the field last year. Certainly nothing at TE stopping him.

After the Duke game a couple years ago. Think he had 6 or 7 tackles, something like that.

Sad part is you aren't even kidding. I do remember that.

The few times Cleveland got in the game this year, I watched him miss block after block. TEs who can't block and aren't the next coming of Antonio Gates in the passing game don't have a long shelf life.

Always wondered... how do these guys not lose all the weight they gain now during the spring?

People praising Cain just means that people frequently jump the gun when it comes to praise. Having a good game against Duke doesn't mean jacksquat if you're on a team that is overall much better than Duke. Even Willie Cooper made plays against Duke.

I could see Cain getting another shot at linebacker if Eddie Johnson isn't around during spring.

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a copy of the workouts they do for UTough.

Anyone know if this is possible?

its an agility circuit. I know they have different stations, 1 station i know they do variety of things (seat rolls, 4 point weaves, etc)

I really liked Briscoe coming out of high school. It was disappointing hearing the reports on him last year.

Hopefully he dedicated himself to football and that weight gain to 312 is good weight and not Papa Johns slop. Good to hear McCord his pushing 240 now too.

Is this the kid who reportedly just plays PlayStation all day?

This is true. Just like guys like Chase Ford and Darius Smith got hyped up too. Gotta stop hyping up these practice all-stars and wait until they prove on the field. Kids like Duke, Morris, Dorsett and Perryman are fine but lets stop hyping players because Shannon said they were the next Shockey or the team gives a kid a nickname like "The Plug".

Yup, but it was more than that.

It was rumors of him not having a defensive mentality and get tried out at OL. I want a nasty **** on my DL who's violent and plays with bad intentions.

I don't like reading that he's not a defensive guy. Makes him seem soft.
