UTough

This is great news, we needed them o have a huge offseason. Between spring and summer, we hold he one beasts on the squad... The physical development of our young players is one of the most important things that needed to happen for us to get to the next level as a team.

I really liked Briscoe coming out of high school. It was disappointing hearing the reports on him last year.

Hopefully he dedicated himself to football and that weight gain to 312 is good weight and not Papa Johns slop. Good to hear McCord his pushing 240 now too.

Seantrel only getting 22 reps sounds like a problem of someone not trying to be focused.

Just as a benchmark, believe Trent Williams did 23 reps at his combine.

Stop wasting time looking into SH's 22 number. It's actually pretty dang good for a person his size. As Alex mentioned earlier, guys with huge wingspans will bench less. BMcKinnie, for example, didn't reach 20 reps, iirc.

Even though we are already in the third off-season under Golden, it's still just as refreshing as it was the first time to hear all these off-season reports about UTough and how hard the guys are working.

That alone gives me optimism for the future of the program, throw that in there with us not having to sign 2-stars from Buffalo on signing day anymore, and my excitement for this program is crazy high.

While I get the spirit of the post, Gaines may not be the best example for your point. He's no Spence or Morgan, but the kid has been productive. Jeffrey Brown from BFE, Illinois, might better make your point.

Joaquin Gonzalez, who was a **** good OL here, also had awful bench numbers. But, like SH, dude had very long arms.

His reps have gone up a ton over the last year or so, evidence of being pretty **** focused.

A stronger, leaner and more focused Seantrel is going to be a nightmare for offensive linemen. With Bunche, Seantrel and Flowers that's 3 good/great tackles. Then you bring in Gadbois who is 6'8" 310lbs and you have a nice looking rotation if needed.

Our first college practice the coach lined us up and said "For the last 12 months you were recruits. You are now freshman!!!" and then proceeded to make everyone wish we were still recruits.

except brown was a juco aa this year - he is not a bad football player

delmar taylor, asante Cleveland, kelvin cain are better examples

People were praising Cain and Cleveland 2 years ago.
