UTough

UTough is about a mentality, about a certain toughness. Things this program has lacked for many years. I think we're at that juncture in time when it will start paying off with tangible results on the field.

There's a reason certain guys left last year, they simply weren't built or conditioned mentally for this.

Give me 85 guys who can

Dont let it fool you a lot of the players wanted to stay. I talked to Brandon Washington this passed weekend and he told me they (Golden) forced them out. He only wanted 1 or 2 to stay.

How many people actually believe this?

Three. Luke, Ice and Larry.

Just telling you out the horses mouth man.

I'm not buying it. All the players who left we most likely could have used this past season.

Golden forced out a few guys who were not producing, but you think Golden wanted to play all those freshmen last season??? Youre crazy..

I'd believe if he said Golden forced out 1 or 2 instead of saying he only wanted to keep 1 or 2.

I have no problem with this. The sooner they leave the sooner they are gone.

Not me.

Lmao.....the butthurt about the black coach getting fired NEVER ENDS with some people.

Now that Shannon is proven indefensible it has turned into how the new coach hates inner city kids from MNW.

I'm sure AG didn't want to have a roster full of upperclassmen, just to spite those two joke highschool coaches.

One of my friends videos the team practices and whenever I talk to him he has a ton of good stuff....here's what he told me from the first day of UTough.

1. Beau was really gassed, like super tired. Can't wait to see what he is able to do after a season of UTough.

2. Figueroa stood out, he looked real good in individual drills, as well as UTough

3. Hamilton was dogging it a lot, last one to finish some of the drills while getting verbally screamed at from the coaching staff. Interesting thoughts when you put this together with his recent Tweets. He has just always been out of shape since he has gotten here, talks about moving him to OL he was that out of shape, and still is apparently.

I feel u Duval, had kind of the same thought, but those were my friend's words.

I suppose maybe they aren't quite as intense and maybe Hamilton not getting his act together means he can only play O-line, nonetheless it's complete bull**** Hamilton can't get his **** together and come prepared for UTough after last year. I, as well as a lot of people on the board expected him to take some strides next year, but when you hear that.....

Hamilton better get his *** in shape, we need this kid to make a big jump from his true freshman year.

The big concern with Jelanie as a prospect was he looked soft. Didn't look like he was in very good shape and I thought UTough would make or break him. Remains to be seen.

If I´m not wrong, someone posted here that Figueroa arrived at 210 and is already at 225 lbs. Now your friend is saying he´s killing it at UTough and individual drills... what a beast!!

Regarding the drills, is Figueroa in the LB´s group? With his combination of size and athleticism, he could be a beast at the MLB position.

This. Was going to post it myself.

Hamilton was soft looking as a HS kid. Little definition, immature body shape. Not sure why anyone would be surprised that he has trouble with S&C.

Didn't Jelani sustain a serious knee injury in HS? That may have explained the poor body composition. Let's give him some time.

That being said, last time I saw him (several months ago), poor body composition. Pear shaped.

Definitely not writing the kid off already. He still managed to see some snaps last year though our atrocious depth was the reason there.

He could be really really good, but he's going to have to put in the work. There's a lot of DEs on this team all of a sudden, and they all look hungry.
