its been repeatedly stated that if he doesnt visit this weekend HE WILL VISIT mid-week. Its not ideal, but stop saying he's not going to visit. HE WILL VISIT

Well, history shows that 99.9% of our Dade commits take a UM official visit, so Thomas not taking one is a concern.

Let me revise my statement by saying that when all things are equal most Dade County guys that Miami recruits extremely hard, end up staying

Teddy was in the midst of a coaching change
I'm almost positive that we backed off of Kayvon (who knows what happened with Shantard at the helm)
Don't know the backstory on KB

midweek is hardly a visit. He'll be with no one else. Better get Duke and Deon on him. Need him to cancel that Georgia visit so he can be here with some other recruits
 
Mid-week isn't the same as an OV. If he does that, my belief is that would be a move simply to get Ice and others off his back about giving Miami a shot.

Kayvon was swayed by a bunch of ex high school teamates playing at USF.

Maybe...just maybe Matthew Thomas, His Mom, Ice, and The Coaching Staff, aren't working on all of these mathematical equations and requirements that you all have drummed up that signify interest.

Just a thought.

It actually is still an OV. He get's all the same official treatment (minus the weekend partying), but most likely not with other recruits etc.

Where does it say you can't officially visit in the middle of the week? It's about the expenses and perks, not the time period.
 
He's changed his mind about this visit a couple of times already. Who is to say it won't happen again between now and Friday.

And even if he doesn't, I don't see how a mid week OV is any different.

It's an official visit, but there's zero similarity between a Wednesday day trip to campus and a weekend of being wined and dined and building bonds with other recruits, players and commits.

The Wednesday day trip is sniffing panties at Victoria's Secret while your gf has her back turned; the weekend OV is choking a Victoria's Secret model nearly unconscious with those panties whilst she tries to swallow your tumescence. Feel me?

ty, I don't get why people don't understand that. He's still taking an OV here at some point. He lives in Miami so he doesn't need the weekend partys to sway him. The positive for not visiting this weekend is he gets 1000% of everyone's attention when he does come instead of it being split with other recruits. Also looks like the Georgia trip may be off since his coach says he doesn't want to take a visit the last weekend before signing day(or maybe they aren't pushing for it anymore since he's not going there).
