It'll be a negotiated settlement. He'll probably get 12-14 million and walk away. That kind of money would cripple a private institution, but since it is a state school the taxpayers will somehow end up footing the bill for a coach's bad decision.
Schools firing 'for cause' look to be blatant attempts to wiggle out of big buyouts

Here's my dilemma: would it make me happier if OSU went after Taggart to fill the vacancy, or should I be happier to see Taggart stay at FSU and tank the program?

The taxpayers won't pay as their athletic budget is separate, even in a case such as this. That is true at most large state schools.

This is not mine i just seen this on TOS but if this true things are about to get real interesting real soon y'all boys

Decision Has been made

I will be soooo happy to eat crow if they get rid of him, I just can't buy it. Thanks for the comedy link of hypersensitive pansies crying about how O$U isn't properly corrupt enough if they get rid of Urban...funny *** read.

just saw that Board will be meeting on Wednesday morning to discuss personnel issues. Believed Meyer will be suspended

Freaking tattoos , that’s it. Well lying about the tattoos , unreal .

He got fired for withholding the info so that his guys could play in the bowl game. May not seem like much to us, but the NCAA takes that stuff kinda seriously. And as a fan of a school that's been raked over the coals by those fcks a time or two, I think it's only fair that he lost his job. He knew his guys were ineligible and he sat on it which is the same as lying.

No, this isn't as bad as looking the other way while an assistant beats his wife or letting your players murk people. But if we have to live by the NCAAs rules, then I don't see why others shouldn't as well.

Suggested that he may get suspended w time served. Lol. Real investigative work OSU.

"Meyer may also get some sort of “time served” punishment, as he has been on administrative leave since Aug. 1 while the investigation was ongoing."

Ive been a pretty vocal in my opinion that they wouldnt fire him. But time served would be insane. I figured it would be two games to get him back for the TCU game. But I cant get past time served. I never saw that coming. Sounds like they don't want him to take ANY additional heat for it. Like he was some sorta.. innocent victim who just got caught up in a story about someone else. What a joke.
