*Update Eddie Nunez Emerges as Strong Candidate for Miami AD Job

These small-minded weirdos who can't think outside the tiny bubble of Dade County could learn a thing or two from LSU and USC. Get the best people.

Lincoln Riley is a hick from Texas. Probably never set foot in a building with more than 3 stories. Hired by their AD who had zero ties to USC either and came from Cincinnati. Do they "need to understand LA culture?" No, ya jackazz.

LSU-- yes their AD hire had ties to their school... but he also came from aTm at his last stop, where he landed a whale of a steal in Jimbo. And then this:

Wake up, ya f'ng dingbats. There's a pretty big world of athletics outside the city limits of Miami.

Most amazing plot twist: We hire Nunez and he turns out to do a ******* amazing job.

Doubt it, but hey. Who knows

A man can dream, but, if he’s hired and botches it in the first year or two, I’m truly worried about his safety lol

Not sure why they have to wait for new AD before firing the HC if this is indeed the ultimate plan.
I agree completely. But that's the line we're being feed and if it's true, then it seems like we're giving our next AD a lot of power. If he has enough balls to recommend a firing to the divided board, then he'll have my initial support.

Just prepare yourselves for this extremely underwhelming hire, it’ll make it less painful when it comes to fruition. Then we can get angry after.

What's wrong with Nunez? Just not a big fish/hasn't done anything special or does he have a bad track record?
Its really no offense to Nunez. Im sure he has a great resume and at least has AD experience..I just think people are tired of the "Miami Mafia/UM Cult" hires and wanted some outside blood coming into the fold. Nunez actually could be a great hire but its just more of the same at this point.

The search firm UM hired is either total clownshoes or Frenk and the BOT are incompetent. To only have 3 names 2 weeks into a search and 2 don't even have previous AD experience is crazy. These search firms generally get 25% of the annual salary of the candidate hired. To potentially pay that for a guy with no AD experience is bonkers.

"In 2020-21, despite the hardships associated with COVID-19, the Lobos led the Mountain West with six championships, winning in women’s basketball, women’s soccer, women’s cross country, women’s golf, men’s golf and men’s tennis."

I know nothing about the guy, but shrug, that's nothing to sneeze at

You ain't winning in football at New Mexico lol

If you bring Highsmith in with him for football, it just might work fellas. Or it might not, because we're cursed

Just one point of contention there- Sabag is from West Virginia. That's like all the worst attributes of the South rolled up into one big ball and then given statehood.

Basketball should at least be good lol.... I'm only okey with this if he has nothing to do with the football program and Zo has full control of it.... Seems like Blake James 2.0 in my opinion.
