That makes sense. Does he have any other ties to UM besides just growing up in Miami? If that's his only tie, he seems like an outsider enough. Its really no offense to Nunez. Im sure he has a great resume and at least has AD experience..I just think people are tired of the "Miami Mafia/UM Cult" hires and wanted some outside blood coming into the fold. Nunez actually could be a great hire but its just more of the same at this point.
Apparently he also won the Commissioner Award."In 2020-21, despite the hardships associated with COVID-19, the Lobos led the Mountain West with six championships, winning in women’s basketball, women’s soccer, women’s cross country, women’s golf, men’s golf and men’s tennis."
I know nothing about the guy, but shrug, that's nothing to sneeze at
You ain't winning in football at New Mexico lol
If you bring Highsmith in with him for football, it just might work fellas. Or it might not, because we're cursed
Football and basketball program have both tanked while under his leadership.. They werent great to begin with but got even worst.. Just a terrible run program overall, but he is from miami and a miami bro.. soooo that qualifies enoughI must be out of the loop, is there anything especially impressive about Nunez and his work at New Mexico? I don't know anything about him.
"That followed his August of 2020 appointment to the 30-person Lead1 Working Group for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in College Sports."So, you are saying that he is a stone cold killer IN WOMEN’S SPORTS?!?!?! Just what The Woke U needs!
but they know FUTBOL. wait they don't know **** bout that either.MAS BROTHERS BRO!!!
No one in this stupid ******* city knows a thing about football. We are an abomination. A catastrophe. A scourge on society. A mistake that global warming will correct. I just hope that day comes soon.
My dude, THIS IS A FOOTBALL PROGRAM!! WTF, IDGAF ABOUT WOMENS GOLF.. @Problem2, we cant lose now, not like this.. wtf is going on out here"In 2020-21, despite the hardships associated with COVID-19, the Lobos led the Mountain West with six championships, winning in women’s basketball, women’s soccer, women’s cross country, women’s golf, men’s golf and men’s tennis."

Basketball should at least be good lol.... I'm only okey with this if he has nothing to do with the football program and Zo has full control of it.... Seems like Blake James 2.0 in my opinion.
Whew, I feel better knowing our women's lacrosse team will compete for ACC titles. That should bring big money to the school!"In 2020-21, despite the hardships associated with COVID-19, the Lobos led the Mountain West with six championships, winning in women’s basketball, women’s soccer, women’s cross country, women’s golf, men’s golf and men’s tennis."
