Very true. Given the whole White family support behind the scenes, I'd have been a lot more happy with him.Brian White had an interview like weeks ago. Surprised to see his name being dropped out.

See the list of coaches they came up with in 2010?Imagine hiring a search firm and then this is what they come up with. They would have been 100x better off hiring a few random usernames off of CIS.
I have to presume that he pulled out because Miami wasnt willing to give him the full AD job.Very true. Given the whole White family support behind the scenes, I'd have been a lot more happy with him.
Anyone with a brain, that's who. Yes, we all want Diaz gone, but it won't matter if we keep this nepotistic pattern of behaviour going.Look as long as they get diaz out of there who gives af
It’s New Mexico… about everyone gets those resultsWhat makes it good?
Has he personally hired any successful coaches? Improved the two big revenue sports in his time there? Headed up an athletic department for a power 5 school?
No.
No.
No.
But at least he knows Isla Canarias has the best croquetas in town.
Genuine shivers going down my spine at the thought of who this bozo and our bozo BOT hire once Mario passes on us.

If they fire him tomorrow or Thursday they aren't keeping him. I *hope* (If it's Nunez and Highsmith) that they are announced and immediately fire Diaz and perform a search. If we don't get Mario, we get Kiffin. I don't want it to come down to Mario or Manny. And if Cristobal doesn't take the job, we're keeping Diaz. Every other coach isn't Hispanic enough.
It's all speculation, but maybe. Our situation will be a bit unusual. We'll see how it works.I have to presume that he pulled out because Miami wasnt willing to give him the full AD job.
Because a qualified AD will help resurrect our other failing athletic programs. Otherwise, nothing changes.Look as long as they get diaz out of there who gives af
the whole reason we are hiring that caliber of an AD is bc we're dead set on bringing in Zo.If that’s the case, then hopefully they bring Zo or something. Options aren’t looking good as it is though.
How about track record?Sounds like no one has any idea about this guy's skills and approach as an AD. I'm not saying he's gonna be a good hire, but there just seems to be a lot of superficial critiques.
I will judge him on the following three issues early on:
(1) Will he recommend firing Manny?
(2) Will he make a good hire? Does he have the intelligence, charisma, skill, vision, and discipline to sell a big fish on the exciting future of our program?
(3) Will he act as an effective advocate for the football department? Will he secure resources from the admin? Will he fundraise? Will he grow our brand? etc.
No criticisms offer any insight into whether he will or will not execute on any of the above three.
Problem is that Miami is not one HC away from anything substantial. We're a culture shift away. Hiring this ******* clown is more of the same and to expect Kiffin (doubt the BOT would even go for him) or any other HC to change things is setting yourself up for failure. If they fire him tomorrow or Thursday they aren't keeping him.
