Uncle Jethro, do you guys want him back next year ?

I understand very well how destroyed the program was when Al took over. Saw it first-hand. Everything he's done to make us relevant hasn't gone unnoticed. Pointing out where we need to improve (recruiting, stopping people from scoring, fielding an effective offense), does not make one a mope. If people want to have a big circle jerk then you guys should just get a bunch of bourbon, go out into the woods and cornhole everything in sight. Everyone realizes what an uphill battle it's been. There are things that need fixing. There's a high standard here. Deal with it.

Critizing the proper things with legitimate discussion with it would be appreciated, instead of screaming THE SCHEME SUCKS WE SHOULD BLITZ MORE. And really a little perspective goes a long way.

This isn't pointed at you either, but just the board in general. The board has been a cesspool of ignorance and bull**** lately and it's impossible to have any real discussion with this nonsense going on.

Lol @ people dogging Kehoe

I don't think pointing out how average he is as a coach is "dogging" him.. Most (if not all) of this fanbase loves the man.. That doesn't make him a great coach though, just a great Cane.

OL has allowed the least sacks in the ACC.

2nd least TFL's, behind Duke, who most likely gets the ball out of their QB's hands within 2 seconds.

One of the top rushing offenses in the ACC. I think top-3 in Yards Per Carry @ somehwere around 5.5 YPC.

A ****** OL doesn't accomplish that.

57 attempts / 123 yards / 2.3 ypc vs UF, and FSU. Other than those 2 teams. What stellar defense did we play?

I think the part that a lot of people have a problem with is the people who just claim Kehoe sucks or is average but have nothing to back it up. They're just parroting negativity instead of pointing out specific flaws.

There wasn't a team in college football this year that was going to run on that uf.ag team we played. How much of those poor numbers are attributable to the uf.ag game? And are sacks calculated into the numbers?

Wasn't Duke closing in on 100 yards against fsu before he got hurt? He might have finished that game with 120 or 130 yards, so that's pretty good against fsu.

Personally I think Jethro and Kehoe are the 2 weekest links..wish McDonald and Richardson stuck around. This guys flat out could coach.
No,Kehoe.Golden drove personally to Mississippi to talk him into coming back to the U.One of AG's
best moves!Kehoe's Alumni reads like a who's who in the NFL and incoming recruits know Kehoe's their path to the NFL.

The problem with backing up an opinion is that it's just an opinion... You can't google "Does Kehoe suck" & get a valid answer one way or the other. I get that he has a good pedigree of guys going to the NFL.. but this is Miami, the talent helps. From watching us play over the years to being coached by him at a few camps, I'm just not overly impressed... To each his own though.

You are right, about UF defense being hella good at that time.

Even though FSU has a a top total defense. Mainly because they are ranked #2 in the pass, and their offense scores almost every drive. Teams are forced out of the run. Teams/backs have had success vs them. In the run game. NCST, and BC, both ran all over them. Duke, had it not been for the - 5 yards. Would have had 100 yards rushing. Bethune Cookman ran for 182 yards on them. Nevada's back had 100 yards.

So i agree, that UF is the main reason for those stats, but FSU is the only other "good" defense that we faced, and we didn't do that great. When lesser teams, with lesser backs than Duke ran on them.

I am not pointing a finger at Kehoe, as the issue. I stated it could be the players. Also those short yardage runs than failed in UNC/WF game. That you pointed to as isolated . I believe that if your at the goal line, or your going for it on forth down. Those should be the ones you get. Our OL blocks great between the 20's, but when it needs a forth down, or goal line push. For some reason it fails.

SteBipolar, did fail on 2 of those, only after the run game failed.

v
We were mauling FSU pretty well at one point. Duke would've finished with well over 100 yards.

And you didn't comment on the pass protection.
