Tyson Campbell recruitment??

Tyson will be a day 1 starter here

As well as 1 or 2 of the other incoming DBs. We really lack talent back there right now and all spots will be open for a FR to come in and play. Thus far, Malek Young looks like the only current guy who could hold onto his spot.

Bandy?

Bandy earned the starting role last game. Kid is a DAWG.

Just a prediction, but I think Young and Bandy will be starting corners by the end of the year.

I think they'll be starting Friday.

Anybody care to share Luke Stampini’s latest VIP note on Campbell?

Stampini thinks the turds are flipping everyone so you can take anything he says with a half a grain of salt.

According to Stampini, UF is flipping.... Nesta, Pope, Frierson and Hall... also they're landing PS2 and TC..

I've done my fair share of complaining about it in the gator tears thread. For the longest time, I couldn't understand how they could go from admitting that their coaches & offense are driving recruits away directly to predicting a flip, without realizing how insane that is. Its like they couldn't remember their own posts from 10 seonds prior. Then I realized that a huge part of the problem is people like Luke. He make things worse. He bans people who don't buy into the fantasy. Take his Nesta flip prediction for example. He predicts the flip even after the other mod told them he knew Nesta wasn't flipping after he saw him recruiting for Miami, at an event with Saban & Meyer trying to flip HIM. But here comes Luke to save the day. Nesta told them he isn't taking visits.. But that COULD change & if it does, he'll visit UF & therefore flip. One mod told them that whenever Pope shows UF the slightest interest, he goes to Miami the next day. So it's probably not realistic to expect a flip. Not in Luke's eyes. I bet he's in love with a stripper. In his fantasy world, somebody showing the slightest amount of interest means it's real. If that moron weren't there to make **** up & give them false hope, I think the roaches would scatter.

By the way, I don't see anyone talking about the playing time perspective. We do have a loaded class with or without him coming and it also looks like we're adding Tyson Campbell at some point. That can play a huge factor into the decision making of a kid of his national ranking.

He's better than our current dbs let alone our db commits. Only db hes not better than imo is Tyson Campbell.

Agreed. And why the F can Alabama, OSU, etc bring in multiple players at a position in one recruiting class and no one has a problem with it? But we want to load up on a position and our own fans have problems with it. Last year OSU brought in 3 five star DBs and 3 four stars! Bama brought in 4 of the top 10 WRs in the country. I repeat - why the F can't we do the same things?

Given how little talent we currently have in the secondary, all these '18 DB recruits will have a chance to start. Tyson Campbell would be a day 1 starter her. So will a couple of the other DBs in the '18 class. Shouldn't even be that hard of a sale to bring in DBs (though with Rumph every "sale" seems difficult).

Yea, I'm talking about how he can view our class....which ironically no one has brought up

So my question is, what happens to Surtains thought process when his top two teams are both 6-6 at the end of the season?

1) it'll be a cold day in **** if he went to UF

2) That's what is going to make it interesting and is also why we should keep recruiting him. Even though he'll come in with a loaded DB class, these guys like to win and don't wanna play on a 6-6 team. TBH until he shows a little more interest, I'm willing to bet he ends up at FSU because at least he knows they'll win next year when Francois come back

Bama writer says Jobe will flip to Bama and that Tyson will end up there as well.

And when I looked up at the sky this morning it was blue...of course a Bama writer said that, they always do.

Just to be clear, is Campbell signing in the early signing period in December?

Of course Bama writers think they'll get Campbell & Jobe, they've signed very close to everyone they've wanted the past 8 years. They don't know about that life where you feel confident about players who sign elsewhere...but they will soon.

Please reconcile for me your concern that Surtain might be scared off by the thought of competing with other elite DBs at UM then wind up at FSU where they recruit elite DBs every year too?

Personally, I'm not concerned about it. Kids think like that now a days and to think they don't is pretty idiotic. I only said right now he'll choose FSU over us right now because he has a higher interest in them...

I'm with you and always laugh how people fear we might lose a kid to bama or osu or fsu b/c of competition.

However, playing devil's advocate, if he sees that there are all highly rated sofla kids he'd be competing against (i.e.a known commodity in his eyes) vs a scattered group of highly rated kids from northern florida, gergia, north carolina, he might feel differently about that level of competition b/c he hasn't seen them in action.

First of all, I wasn't asking you if you're concerned. I was asking you to reconcile why you think Surtain might not come here because he's scared of competing with elite DB recruits but he'd go to FSU where they recruit at the same level.

I don't doubt that some kids seek places where there is less competition. Those kids don't go to FSU or Alabaga or places like that though.

How do you know that Surtain has a higher interest in FSU than he does us? Just wondering if you know something concrete on that.

Surtain and Campbell both should be thinking they can be starting vs LSU in next years opener with a very good front 7 in front of them to allow they to crown as freshmen
