BTW it’s comical how widespread this news is and NOBODY brings up tampering.

Maybe it was leaked to expose Bama’s tampering.

Most tampering allegations and rumors start after a player announces his intentions to enter the portal.
tampering will never be a thing or at least will never be enforced. guys are always going to just use their agents to negotiate on the DL..nobody will be able to prove anything unless they have a goofball having dinner with them at their house prior to signing.

I've commented several times
Name change. I see what you did there. 😂

College football is hanging itself. Call this for what it is: Professional Football. Separate the haves (professional teams mostly SEC and Big Ten Schools) and have nots (Mostly Big 12, ACC and PAC 12 with some of the other schools not in the power 5). The haves will get all the players that want/can get NIL money. The others play on teams that can’t afford to pay their players. It would make both leagues competitive amongst themselves.

I personally believe Miami is a tweener. Somewhere between big time and the rest. It sucks, but that is reality. Before NIL, it was all about the facilities, now that we have or will have the facilities it’s about the size of your collective. The goal posts keep on moving on us and I am afraid we cannot keep up regardless of the who is coach, AD or in charge of players evaluation/development.

This is the wrong time and the wrong thread to blow your first passive aggressive post that uses the word "us" and then calls Miami a "tweener".

Go back to Swamp 247. Or enjoy Purgatory. Your choice.

And don't whine to me about how you're really a Miami fan. I've made many porsts like yours on the Gaytor boards under my secret identity. I know the game, I can smell your crap from a mile away.

Most well run companies also have a pipeline to be able to replace employees who are promoted, accept other offers, etc. A well run company wouldn’t leave itself in a situation where the only internal options are woefully unprepared to step into the vacant role.
Most companies are not well run. Most companies are not comprised of 17-22 year olds who are still learning how to do their jobs. Most companies aren't limited to 85 employees. Most employees jobs are not as hard or require such a specific set of skills as being a QB at a major football program. So while I grant you, most companies will have someone to replace the departing employee, that doesn't guarantee the replacement is as good or any good at all. Most employees, all the way up to the CEO, are usually not that good at their jobs.

Considering who had the information on Sunday (people with UM sources) and who did not have the information on Sunday (at least one person I know with DVD sources), I would imagine it's the former, not the latter.

Just my 2 cents.
I agree with you 100%.

Kinda dovetails nicely to the other mentioned comment, "there is a plan to ease the pain..." doesn't it??

If he leaves us in the lurch, that sets Miami back a good three years. The earliest we can get an elite quarterback is in 2025.
How u figure? We got an “air raid” system now, and 2 QBs that ain’t quite ready yet. Elite QBs should be lining up around the block.

At this point TVD almost has to leave.

If he comes back things are going to be super toxic in our locker room. A true leader of a team doesn't flirt with another program.

That doesn't scream 100% buy in at all lol

**** TVD man. I don't want another toxic and miserable season. Adios to him

Is it tampering if Bama never contacted TVD?? Only back channels..
Tampering is so hard to prove. Few coaches make public allegations (e.g., Narduzzi), but exposing the “behind the scenes” back-channeling before a player enters the portal is a defensive strategy to portray the new school in a bad light.

In this case, Saban and Bama are on record as opposing the portal and saying it’s not good for the game. The hypocrisy of that statement might get more attention from the national media given their role (no matter how small or tangential) in enticing a recruit to leave another program before entering the portal.

BEFORE the "one-free-transfer" rule was enacted.

Do the research.

I’ll defer to you. In the words of one wise woman, “ain’t nobody got time for dat”

They do need to revise the free transfer rule. Not within your first year unless the HC bolts. Kids signing in December and dipping by February has to stop.
