You're not going to throw unlimited money at a player. TVD and his agent are pushing for the max, as they should, maybe they're overplaying their hand. The market and Miamis willingness to spend will determine TVD's value.

If Miami has a contingency plan, you go that direction. If TVD wants more money, it's on him. Not that Miami wasn't or didn't have the money to spend. Again one player can't guide the program. At some point the player has to want to be here.
Got to imagine #1 on that contingency plan would be Michael Pratt, he's a south Florida native who played at Deerfield Beach.

TVD and agent know he's in the drivers seat.

No it doesn’t 😂 if an employee left another company for a ton of money and the original company thought that employee wasn’t worth the price, despite their best efforts (and we did bump his NIL btw), does the company still look bad? It happens ALL the time and big businesses find replacements.

You have no idea if Bama is overpaying. We also don’t know what each program is valuing TVD at, but we do know Bama is offering more. It’s what you do after the departure and the results following that paint the whole picture. If a company keeps chugging along or produces better numbers, maybe they were better off. Maybe they struggle with said employee’s departure…but it doesn’t say **** except TVD is a punk.
Most well run companies also have a pipeline to be able to replace employees who are promoted, accept other offers, etc. A well run company wouldn’t leave itself in a situation where the only internal options are woefully unprepared to step into the vacant role.

It doesn't happen every year - it's just the threat that it could and bc some guys do every year and the turnover is so high, it just feels like it.

But there are a lot more guys now transferring twice that would have only been able to do so once in the past.....and even more guys transferring in the first 1-2 years at a school than ever before.

Let's also acknowlege that

(a) a grad-transfer is "allowed", it's technically not even a real collegiate transfer except for "football rules"
(b) yes, waivers were granted more liberally in the past (including with Darrell Jackson), but the NCAA has expressed that it will crack down on waiver requests

Having said that, your final bit is completely true, some of these kids are using their "one free transfer" after just a few months or a year. It's wild. And weird.

BTW it’s comical how widespread this news is and NOBODY brings up tampering.

Maybe it was leaked to expose Bama’s tampering.

Most tampering allegations and rumors start after a player announces his intentions to enter the portal.
Probably because everyone is tampering at this point. Lots of players in the portal seemingly entering with destinations already set.

What’s hilarious is since 247 is monitoring it now…how is there no discussion of tampering lol. It’s like blatantly in front of you that he’s not in the portal and yet everyone is confirming Bama is after him and had discussions.

No point in crying about it because everyone does it, but man are there real double standards.
The problem with tampering is that everyone does it. No point in ending up and snitching on yourself.

So the coach who openly says the NIL is bad for college football is about to try and use NiL to lure a player away from another program 😉

Exactly. So if you leak his destination before he enters the portal and he ends up at the school it’s a bad look for the new school.

It doesn’t prove tampering but it’s circumstantial and the public will know that’s what happened.

I've commented several times
Well, once isn't really several and it was almost the exact same time as his comment, so you'll have to give him this.
