How Mario and Ruiz handle this situation will have long term repercussions.

I don't want TVD to go, but other players are watching, and you can't let one player determine the course of your football program.

If TVD was just recently given more money and now he is asking for more, you got to let him go. It's now a business.

I think we portal in a decent guy it doesnt set us back at all..it's still a bad look for the program.
 
Only makes sense to me if he plans to play this year and next at Alabama. Totally missed 70% of the install of the offense while installing his 3rd offense in 4 springs. No rhythm with WRs, their WRs really aren't that good anyway - better than us but not a typical Bama level WR room, Rees is about as boring as Josh Gattis. How Saban saw him as his guy is mind boggling.

I've been saying how good TVD actually is and how under appreciated he is by the fan base. They went from Drake Maye to TVD when they could pursue anyone. They're gonna get someone and they're in a crunch so it'll probably happen quick or be put to rest quick so they can move on to their next target. Their next option is probably Michael Pratt or Taulia Tagovailoa - also probably our backup plans if I had to guess.

Why wait? Go get him now regardless of whether TVD stays or goes. Tell him he can compete for starting job in fall and worse case scenario he’s the favorite to win the job going into next year. Our QB room even with TVD is not the strength this fan base thinks it is

I’m with SouthPark that Maalik Murphy needs to be our first call and make him say no. Then I’d go Brock Vandergriff, Pratt, then maybe Walker Howard or Spencer Sanders (whoever finishes third is portaling out for sure).

Taulia would be underwhelming. He throws too many picks vs. competent defenses.

after seeing brown play I don't think anyone thinks the room is a strength.

Depends on the goal for next year. Pratt over Brock if the goal is to show progress next year for crootin. Brock for long term potential.

You think TVD was happy as a clam in Miami and had no intentions of ever going anywhere else and Drew Rosenhaus took it upon himself to start calling other schools on his behalf? What the **** world do you guys live in?

No, I don’t blame him for that.

I blame him if it’s his camp that’s leaking this for more money for his client. There’s doing your job, and then there’s this. Again it’s all speculation where the leak came from.

We wouldn’t be better off this year but at some point you need to send a message that the team is more important than 1 player and the timing of leaving or flirting to leave means something. Dude is leveraging our qb room for more cash instead of being a leader.

What’s wild is that he spoke about tampering(OkSt OL that transferred to BYU) and spoke about how teams biggest NIL deals are keeping players at their program instead of them transferring out. Just wild timing
