TVD Staying at UM Mega-Thread (F off Nick and the local Miami media dreck)

Maybe I'm not getting context in this. But you're aware we've flipped 70% of this roster so far right? Only people making excuses are the fans who have no backbone in what's going on.

It was in response to “so we should quit football” when I said Alabama is better than us, when asked why TVD would want to go to Alabama.

Sure, I don’t want to lose QB1. TVD has not shown me he’s the leader I would like him to be. (Not a new opinion). But I also don’t blame him for looking.

It’s not losing QB1 that hurts, what hurts is we have no QB1b, QB2 or really QB3 and that’s why this is worse than it should otherwise be, and that’s not on TVD.

Let him go f*ck.

Just promise me we’ll spend the money on a SEC country DT’s

This has been going on in the background for a minute now and it remained quiet. Then gossip starts and then people start digging. At some point there’s a crossroad where you decide what’s more important , being a fan of your team or clout / business. With Miami it always seems to be the latter.
Obviously one party (or parties) with an agenda put this out into the open because they feel it strengthens their position/shapes the outcome they want to see.

Miami leak case
- Someone on staff tired of his ****/wants to see him go

TVD leak case
- I want more money and somehow this gets it for me

Anything I missed*?

*It's too early this am to entertain "Saban wants to embarrass/bring down Miami"..please spare us

After watching Murthy’s spring game. If he shows any interest I might encourage TVD to go, not gonna lie.

It’s always the latter. We see it here every day… it’s partially what drives my antics, (which you know), it’s clout, need to be right, need to be ****y… it’s only about the program when it aligns with people’s interests…. ******* Amazing!

On one side, money is obviously always going to be a motivating factor for any player.

On the other side, is it really that farfetched to believe that a QB for a mid-tier ACC program with a new OC, instability at both the WR and RB room, and an OL that lacks depth, would view going to a perennial national championship contender with elite talent across every position group as a massive opportunity?

3 of the last 4 Bama QBs will have been drafted in the first round with Bryce Young likely to be the #1 overall pick this year. The one that wasn't drafted in the first round, Hurts, was drafted in the 2nd round and is now considered one of the top QBs in the NFL.

It's crazy to see people bashing him or questioning his character here. Or claiming he's only about the money and **** him. While also asking Ruiz or one of the NIL programs to step up.

We haven't done **** in 20 years. Mario has definitely upgraded the roster but we are still 2 years out (minimum) from being considered a legitimate threat to any team week in, week out.

Some of y'all need a dose of reality.

What a **** show college football has become.

Excluding tailgates, the NFL is a better overall product.

I quit watching the NFL as there's no loyalty to the teams anymore and all anyone does is chase the money.

Well friends, here we are, college football 2023. ****, it is even worse than what the NFL became. You can literally switch schools every year with zero repurcussions. There is no contract that keeps you somewhere for a specified amount of time.

Changes need to be made or college football can kick rocks as far as I'm concerned. I used to watch a lot of college football and besides the playoffs, I didn't watch another game besides most of ours from start to finish. Conference money grabs, my interest started to wane.

I guess we'll see what happens, but the more time goes by, the less interest I have.

Without knowing anything I’d take option #2 right now.
