I thought it was a year early when TVD stepped in for injured D’Eric King too so who knows what would happen. I still think TVD gives us the best shot to win 8 plus games
 
Everyone needs to stop bashing the kid. We have taken advantage of the transfer portal quite significantly ourselves. No one whines in those instances . If Bama really wants him, you can't blame him for leaving. Heck, if this is true, I'm flattered . . . maybe we should think better of our offense if Bama truly wants him.

That said, I see a lot discussed here from TVD's perspective about whether to go or not. Little from Bama's perspective.

I watched a little of Milroe last year and he's a lot like Jacurri, albeit a likely better athlete. Excellent runner, questionable passer. Kid's speed is unreal. Anyways, Saban has had a lot of success over the year with game manager QBs. He's likely arrogant enough--and should be--to believe that he can win 10+ with Milroe. I don't think Bama is going to throw bags at TVD because in that system, I don't think TVD makes more than a 1 or 2 game difference. I'd be a lot more worried if TVD was say Drake Maye. I don't think Bama is going to put the full court press on TVD.

That's my problem, if he transferred in December (I wouldn't like it obv) but I think we would have been good by now.

The timing is not ideal.

Exactly... By the end of this spring portal season Mario will have brought in 65-70 of his own guys. And two different coaching staff.. This is his team now.

This is BS. TVD had a decent Spring game. Connected to his roommate Restrepo muliple times. No one in their right mind risks that and LOL at anyone who thinks Saban is guaranteeing TVD a start this season.
If TVD were unhappy he’d be in the portal. He isn’t.

Yes exactly timing is the main thing he could have been gone in December and we could have found someone good for spring and been fine for the season. Its nothing but scrubs in the portal now

This has been going on in the background for a minute now and it remained quiet. Then gossip starts and then people start digging. At some point there’s a crossroad where you decide what’s more important , being a fan of your team or clout / business. With Miami it always seems to be the latter.

Brother, for context, TVD is fine and all, but hes another vastly overrated player by our fanbase. He's closer to the guy you saw last year than most think. I don't even disagree with anything you're saying...but the fact that we just constantly kowtow to some mid kids while winning 8 games in a good year, 7 in an average year, 5 in a bad year which just happened and then it leaks that these guys are holding us over a barrel is the definition of not having your house in order. Even if this is going on...it shouldn't be floated out there by footballville as some bit of news or rumor. We're always on the opposite end of a news story.

Miami sports media is the ******* worst. They either have no loyalty at all to Miami, not a fan at all, or do everything they can to sabotage the program. The timing sure seems fitting as soon as the portal opens up and we’re trying to attract players to come here.
