bc they saw him under a coach who had a **** idea of what an offense should look like and an oC who was a moron along with a QB coach depressed he was getting fired bc every QB he coached this past year sucked ***. the year before he was a top 10 pick under a better O coach. remember this is CIS.

TVD would spit in our faces if he left but If he left for ******* Bama, I mean can anyone really blame him? Mario left our asses for Bama after 2 months too. they've sent their last 3 starting QBs to the league (I give Riley credit for Hurts tho hurts did start for Bama for 2 years) in the FIRST ROUND. not just drafted somewhere, but sent them in the top 15 lol. they land the best skill talent as well. its not a dumb move by TVD but bad timing (it is portal open season though so it happens to everyone).

Cristobal did it to himself. When he hired Gattis, a lot of us said it was stupid (yes, even with the Broyles Award) because we all saw TVD thrive in a fast spread offense, and then Cristobal up and decided to force his QB to learn an entirely new offense.

#1 we already paid up before. #2 he's honestly not worth more than were already giving him WITH THE TEAM THAT WE HAVE. It would be different if we were built to win BIG right now. But if that's the case I wouldn't take him anyhow & I seriously doubt he's going anywhere. I know they did reach out again but from my understanding they don't like him like that. Unless he's gonna do a 180 on how he approached EVERYTHING about the game than Satan would drive himself nuts with this kid. Also knowing Tyler he'd drive himself nuts over there. He loves the strippers. That's not conducive to trailer parks.

It felt so good to be a Miami Hurricane to be going to the Final Four and Elite 8 for the men's and women's hoops teams...incredible pride for my school. This...its some bull****.

I don't care if this happens or not or how true anything is, even it being out there in the ether as a thing is absurd and embarrassing. Like, can we get our ******* house in order and **** together? How do we not have our house in order because players entertain portalling out? I suppose that means NO ONE in the entire country has their house in order... This doesn't have anything to do with anyone but the players. What did y'all think would occur when they started going crazy over paying players? AGAIN we DO NOT HAVE that kind of alumni backing as a whole where we can just flat out shut any & everything down each & every whim that kids get.as much bread as we have behind us, if we cave in to every kids demands MULTIPLE TIMES LIKE WE ALREADY HAVE with this kid and HE KEEPS COMING BACK FOR MORE then where do we draw the line and how do we make this sustainable? Not the same situation. Addison left late because USC offered him a bonkersload of money when NIL was really fresh and not every program was set up (and Pitt absolutely wasn't set up).

TVD has an existing deal and he wants more money because he knows what others make.

Actually this is when people advise kids to portal out. After spring practice when people know exactly where they're at. That way everything is properly vetted.

In my opinion, you definitely have to draw the line at this point. TVD had a good stretch of games season before last and a couple solid games last season. IF this is indeed a money play by him, he hasn’t done nearly enough to be holding us hostage multiple times the way he has.

Obviously I’m not in the know here, but if that is the case then it’s reaching levels of insanity. Have to set an example that you’re not going to be held hostage every time a player gets a wild hair for more money.

what I don’t get is, I know Shannon Dawson isnt a household name but what he’s shown as an OC should definitely appeal to TVD more than a pretty green OC in Tommy Rees who runs a system closer to Gattis than Lashlee

Rees is going to call the offense that Nick wants, like every Bama OC before him. And that's pretty effective for every young QB with NFL aspirations.

Jaccuri would be grinding all summer (regardless) to fight for the starting spot and with Dawson using his legs and him improvising we’d still have a fun offense at times.

I have no doubt that Saban hired Reese because he runs a more conservative style offense. However the most successful OCs who have worked under Saban were quite the opposite. Alabama is talented enough to win most of their games regardless of their style of offense but we’ve seen how the games go when there isn’t a massive talent advantage and they usually turn into shootouts. The whole running game and defense plan goes out the window when you have to play against someone you can’t just physically dominate.

That's what is surprising me the most.

If they are really in the we-are-going-to-steal-your-QB1 business there are a lot of guys better than TVD for them. The one in Chapel Hill right now, for example.
