Tracy Howard: We have to have coach D's back

Honorable of Howard to fall on his sword for his coach but I've seen players say such things about ****** coaches time and again in the pros and in college. How many times did Shannon's players say the same exact thing about him. If you put lots of stock in this you would be misguided

For the people that are saying you have deja vu because of this.... you're an idiot.

Internet tough guys are so cute.

:o

Not being tough.... just saying Shannon's tenure goes far beyond having bad schemes. He almost single handedly destroyed this program. Say what you want about Golden, but comparing this staff to Shannon's is insulting.

The simple fact that Howard has to come out and defend that incompetent tells you the heat is on and things are going to get ugly. A player defending their coach is basically the kiss of death

I'm not one of the " fire everyone " guys, but I've seen this here with Coker and Shannon. I've also seen it too many times at other programs. It's just normally a bad sign, kinda like Gm's giving coaches the " vote of confidence ".

Seems like its a kiss of death for a coach or coordinator.

Lol Tracy Howard is more mature than most of you fools

Bro look at the numbers and stop being blind to it... We just didn't start sucking *** these past 2 weeks it's been since we started conference play and stop playing the cupcakes...

If Dorito can't get Guys like DP, Howard, Gunter, bush, Gaines, chick, green armbrister who have been here 2 or 3 years with him to stop looking like true Freshman running around lost blowing coverages he is a **** teacher and needs to be replaced **** the talent teach the guys to at least know where the **** to be so we can say "**** he just isn't athletic enough we need talent" no it's everyone looking lost and confused

I'm glad fools like you aren't running the program, otherwise it with be an asylum of the insane.

You want COACH NO-D gone, fine I have no problem with that, don't blabber on about it for post after post after post, the point has already been made.

Trollin hard ain't ya??

Want me to post our rankings these past 5 games against cupcakes or WTHs post corresponding our ranking to talent and similar teams?

It's sad so drop the talent excuse

I never said a thing about talent - You're the one who keeps bringing it up. I know the defense utterly sucks, I want Coach D gone, but this constant ****y attitude in the forum the past few days has got to stop. My Problem is constantly seeing thread after thread on the ineptitude of the DC. WE UNDERSTAND THE DEFENSE SUCKS, JUST STOP BASHING IT LIKE A 4X4. At this point, NO-D is the low hanging fruit.

What this tells me is that they are doing a poor job preparing during the week for what they will see come game time.
Do they not go over WR drags during practice and how players have to cover it? How hard can it be? We must not have the sharpest tools in the shed.
To successfully field a 3-4 defense you need smart and disciplined players and by all accounts we don't have many of them.
And the smart and disciplined ones we do have are not physically talented like Highsmith for instance. That's why D'onofrio plays him so much.
It's no wonder teams like Stanford can successfully implement a 3-4 especially know that they are getting more players that have the brawn to compliment their brain.
The question is can Miami get these types of players locally? For the most part it doesn't look like they can.
So if they can't why implement a complex scheme that will cause these fast and reactive athletes to pause and think about what they have to do?
Golden is highly ambitious and probably thinks he can.

Didn't he just answer a question posed to him by the press? (Press are happy to ask such questions to stoke a story)

Yes......he was, but our fans find a way to spin the negative.

He's right, I wish you couch coaches would sit back, relax and let them build their program.. Now if this is still an issue when Tracy and deon and that 2012 class are seniors then we should bring the heat. Give them a fair chance to recruit and develop their own players, not porter, shayon, aj, kacy, luther and Cornelius.

Howard says that "guys were just cutting guys loose" last weekend, and that the team is trying to address the issues in practice

This is such BS to me, if it happened only occassionally then I would buy it. But it is the same crap week after week, guys are wide open against this D all over the field, to me that is just a ****ty scheme
Good thinking, lets ignore the players who are directly involved. I like your thinking!!

Why dismiss one of the best players on the team who was, and I assume remains, an influential recruit in south Fl?

We just got another outstanding defensive recruit today. Maybe, just maybe, the sky ISNT falling.

The media wouldn't be asking Howard the question if Dorito wasn't incompetent. So yes he's coming to the aid of his coach because there is clearly a problem with the defense. He wouldn't get that question if the defense didn't **** itself for the last few games.

Howard will be in the NFL by then lol.. At most elite schools the top guys are gone after their jr years always been that way here too.. Coach D and Golden aren't at Temple anymore when you have a defense full of 4th year jr and 5th year srs..

Great post!

My point is to give them a chance to develop their own players.. Not be forced to play jimmy Gaines and Curtis porter

That is a tired excuse. They were coaching crap players at Temple and bragging about developing them. Porter and the likes have been coached by them for 3 years. It gets tired. Its not like their players are beating them out.

Okay but just because you have been coached by them doesn't mean your going to succeed or that the talent is going to be there. I doubt nick saban can turn porter, pierre and armbrister into the studs half this board expected them to be in fall camp. Porter has been with this coaching staff for 3 years but he's only played 16/34 games since golden took over. I'm waiting to see what guys like Howard, bush, McCord, Hamilton, Kirby look like when they become upperclassmen.

You probably would have been screaming to fire that bumpkin Jimmy Johnson, for taking a Natinal Championship winning team, with an All American qb, and going 8-5 his first year.
