Tracy Howard: We have to have coach D's back

Y'all probably don't care to hear my opinion but anyway...

what does it matter that he has the coaches back? I remember when Zook was fired all the players came to his defense about how they had his back and they didn't want another coach blah, blah, blah. UF players are saying the same chit about Muschamp now and it's obvious he needs to go. IIRC Shannon's players said the same about him and it was clear he needed to go too.

I say all that to say...players are biased. Those coaches are the ones who recruited them and formed a personal bond with them, except in rare circumstances players almost always defend their coach no matter how chitty they are. So Howard's statements overall don't mean much.

Definitely agree. If Howard didn't like the defense, there's no reason for him not to publicly trash his coach. Nothing negative would come from that, and it would be a good outlet for him to voice his frustrations.

Just like it takes other coaches time to implement their system, we simply have to wait it out. We're only in year 3. By year 10, the defensive players will have some idea of what to do in the 9th game of the season. Until then, the decade long learning process continues. Stay positive, guys.

We're only near the 100's in every major defensive statistical category since we began conference play. With a little hard work, and 7 more years, we could crack the 70s.

I'm just glad all our guys are on 10 year scholarships so they'll be tearing it up as Ultra-Seniors.

Arguably the most important recruit in his class, after Duke, and I bet influential on future recruits.

These guys are just kids and I bet if he didn't believe it be wouldn't say it. He could just stay quiet.

These guys want to win more than anyone posting on a message board, including me.

If Dorito can't get Guys like DP, Howard, Gunter, bush, Gaines, chick, green armbrister who have been here 2 or 3 years with him to stop looking like true Freshman running around lost blowing coverages he is a **** teacher and needs to be replaced **** the talent teach the guys to at least know where the **** to be so we can say "**** he just isn't athletic enough we need talent" no it's everyone looking lost and confused

Man I still will hold on to what I think about Dorito, but what you're talking about seems to be the thing lost here. Kid made a bunch of statements of owning up to the mistakes, that is character I havent seen in a long time. I guess its one positive you can take away in a week that has been anything but.

Not to stir it up, but when we listened to the players to keep Fester.... Then listened to the players to keep Shannon.... You listen to the players, track history hasn't been that great.
