TOS Reporting Position Changes for Freshmen

Surprised by Briscoe, not that much by O'Donnell. The O'Donnell move must mean Perry and White maybe out after the season.

Why are people assuming this is a permanent move? Don't some of you realize that freshman routinely move around on the scout team to account for injuries and attrition? Ben Jones is injured, Jermaine Johnson quit the team, so it makes sense for Briscoe to help out there so the scout team can give a good look.

We have a million DT. Our OL depth chart is gonna be atrocious in a year or two. And our OL recruiting has been really bad. Moving Briscoe makes 100% sense.

Moving ODonnell to TE??? Now that's retarded, unless we are gonna run a 4 TE offense or we see some MAJOR MAJOR attrition here with JAGs like Cleveland, White, Perry, etc. We're projected to carry NINE TEs next year, at least as of this moment....WTF??

OMG please please tell me the DT's we have? Please NAme them? This kills our depth and next year we will be playing true freshman again in the rotation making more excuses...SMH the more things change the more they stay the same. We will be w few injuries from playting true freshman just like this year. I cant deal with this ish anymore

i don't know if either guy would have turned into much at DL, but I do know that our staff is real quick to decide a guy can't play for this defense. Perry, Dye, Lewis, Robinson (who refused), now O'Donnell and Briscoe. Doesn't even include a guy like Nick Menocal who was a commit told he'd be playing FB instead of LB. Considering they were fine with Green staying on the DL I'm not sure how much I trust their evaluations - especially considering how DL has been the worst group by far on this team.

i understand guys not having that DL nastiness you want, but don't understand taking some of the biggest, most athletic options and moving them to the other side of the ball either. If a guy is nasty but lacks athleticism AND size then he's only going to be able to do so much. Briscoe, for example, is exactly the size you want and looked pretty athletic in high school tape and small amounts of practice footage - even if clearly not ready. But ain't that supposed to be what good coaching staffs do - coach them up? what happened to give me someone big and athletic and i'll make a player out of him?

If Briscoe was even remotely competent he's be on the DL. This tells me they missed on him. Even Butch had kids that he flat out missed on. It happens.

Sadly when you looked at the sun sentinel DL segments he did not impress. I hope this is another LRob ploy to motivate the young man. However; this will be interesting to see how we can extrapolate data from this sample. Will he become an impact OL, JLewis, and what happens to their respective careers Briscoe and O'Donnell.

Did this even get confirmed yet?

Also, it could be for scout team puproses. Who knows what could've happened injury wise. Or maybe they're giving them a look there.

I did want to see O'Donnell on the DL, but if he can move fluidly he could be a beast at TE too. Can't be worse than what we're trotting out there right now at TE and who knows if Dobbard and Johnson will be physically ready to come right in and contribute like starters.

Luther Robinson move wasn't a ploy. They wanted that man playing OL.

Any chance they are trying to force players out to get a bigger recruiting class?

Disappointed about briscoe. I actually believed he was going to be a dominant dlineman. But that was just from his high school video.

i'd hope not. forcing out RSing freshmen seems about the worst idea I could think of. especially ones with size and athleticism.
