TOS Reporting Position Changes for Freshmen

Any chance they are trying to force players out to get a bigger recruiting class?

Disappointed about briscoe. I actually believed he was going to be a dominant dlineman. But that was just from his high school video.

i'd hope not. forcing out RSing freshmen seems about the worst idea I could think of. especially ones with size and athleticism.

+1 Yeah I don't think thats what is happening in this situation.

This should not be that surprising.Moore and Ivery have both played and Briscoe is deadt last on the DT depth chart. With Odonnell now at TE and us bringing 2-3 in this class I can't imagine they bring back Walfoed,Asante,Terry and Dye.I At this time Die might be the least worse of the group.

Christ.
Smh....the freshmen te will get their chance to shine

We need help on the DL, so this move is puzzling. I know the answer isn't throwing more freshman into the mix, but these kids should be developed and given a chance over the spring first IMO before moving them. Maybe this is just a move for the end of the season, for additional depth.

Unless these kids have NO CHANCE on the DL, I question this move.

Jake to TE? What about next year? Are we going to redshirt all 3 TE's committed? This move is shoddy at best.

I don't understand the big fuss at moving O'Donnel to TE. Kid played that position in HS and our TE's are ******* terrible. Absolute hot garbage. Why not move a big athletic guy that can run to TE? The good lord knows we need someone like that at the position and we don't have anyone on the roster stepping up.

Briscoe on the other hand, is baffling.

No doubt, wonder what TJ, Dobard and Kerr think about a chart with 10 TEs on it?

I am thinking a few of the current TEs may be asked to kick rocks. Moving O'D there now gives him a chance to get snaps and prepare for next season. Might help not rely completely on true Frosh

Briscoe was scout team O-line for this week only. He is still at DT. O'Donnell is TE/DE right now, has not been decided permanently.

If no rocks are kicked we will have Dye, Walford, Cleveland, O'Donnel, Kerr, Dobard and Johnson as TE's? Is David Perry still there too??

So, another over-the-top knee jerk reaction based on a bogus ITU report? Got it.

Has anyone on here seen 1 minute of them on a college practice field? Or are you all going off the 5 minutes of high school highlights you saw? We are talking about freshman in there 1st semester on campus. It's not like the all of the sudden decided to move Eddie Johnson to fullback or Feliciano to DT.
If they move now, they probably have a legit shot at the 2 deep to start next season.
The OL may be better than the DL, but the DL has a few guys that have a chance to develop and an expected stud coming in with Bryant. The OL has no depth. Next season Briscoe will either be battling Gadbouis and Wells for the 4th tackle, assuming Henderson stays, or Isidora and Gall for the 3rd guard spot. Including Gall, we only have 12 OL for 2013 right now and I believe we've played 9 this year.
For O'Donnell, he likely would have been at best 3rd behind Chick and Hamilton, but at TE, he probably has a chance to compete with any body at the spot and we'll use 3 or 4 TEs.

I didn't mean 3rd best on team, meant 3rd on strong side. McCord, Hoillet, Green and Cain on the other side

Got ya, I don't see him playing in front of some of the current TE's, nevermind the recruits, time will tell.

This is hilarious, the TE position is filled with a bunch of Jags. I'm sure all three see that and realize they can come in and contribute right away so why don't fans? Especially Johnson and Dobard. Y'all overreacting like usual.

So you think Dobard, Johnson and Kerr are all going to contribute to the TE as true freshman?

lol, ok......

Not saying Dobard is the greatest prospect ever but he is light years ahead of any other TE we have at the same point.

Walford and Cleveland will be first and second on the chart next year, watch. Johnson look like a heck of a pass catcher and Dobard looks good too, but I would be shocked if either is a starter. Kerrs an o-lineman.
