@Todd_Blackledge: Here is my random Monday night prediction: Miami, under Al Golden, will play for a National Championship BEFORE Florida State or Florida.

Then he went and said this:

Todd Blackledge ‏@Todd_Blackledge 2h
ALSO...I love what both Jimbo and Will are doing at FSU & UF respectively. All 3 programs are heading back towards the front of the CFB pack

I know we haven't seen the results on the field yet, but considering the crap Golden has had to deal with in his short amount of time at UM, i'd say he's done a remarkable job. It's baffling that some of you guys haven't fully jumped on board yet. I'd be shocked if he doesn't get us back to competing for titles on a yearly basis very soon.

The guys who get paid to follow the sport all see it. What's taking you "fans" so long? Just curious......

They're not visionaries. Can't blame them. They need success to smack them in the face before they can see the light.

With a bare cupboard and an NCAA **** storm coming at him from day 1. But yeah Dude should be 24-0.

It's always a great idea to judge corches based on their first couple years at a program. Larry Coker will go down as the greatest HC in the history of college football because he was 24-0 his first two years at UM.

13-11 could easily be 17-7 if we had found a way to win some close games these last couple years. It seems like every time this team has been ready to turn the corner, they shoot themselves in the foot. UVA in 2011 and 2012 really stick out right now. If things were supposed to be different, we should have at least beaten them in 2012 (they were good in 2011). The man's proven he can recruit, whether a ****storm, and change the culture of a big-time program. It's time to see results. Show it to me on the field Goldens.

I dig this, guy is actually pretty decent at what he does.

lol and if he had said that Miami wasn't in good shape you'd be grouping him in with the rest of the idiots at ESPN

i don't give a **** what this guy has to say, although it's nice to hear it coming from outside the program. if i don't find them credible when they talk poorly about us i won't all of a suddenly find them credible when they talk nicely about us

Yeah, Coker inherited a Porsche. Alfred inherited an old creaky hoopty Cutlass Sierra. Our fans are da bestest.

You're correct to a certain extent, but the takeaway from it is just as you said, someone from outside the program.
He also didn't make any outlandish claims, like Duke wins the Heisman or they run the table this season.

shooting oneself in the foot is a function of being forced to play a ridiculous amount of inexperienced players.

Players that apparently didn't get a whole lot better as the season progressed, as evidenced by the defense allowing 583 yards against Duke in our last game. But keep on making excuses. I'm enjoying this.

Please provide proof that substantiates your hypothetical.
