I don't like that HC but they have been building up the OL and they have a potential top 10 defense. That would be a good landing spot for a QB. They have solid weapons in place with Pollard, Ridley and Okunkaro. That being said Shedeur is going 1st overall until further notice.

if sanders goes #1 that will be a bigger bust than ryan leaf and jamarcus russel combined.

Im not sure why you are so strung out on this argument. Taylor is the engine Callahan (the son of a coaching legend) benefitted from being associated with Taylor. He wasn't the brains behind the offense and that is the main issue.

How am I strung out? You went from saying he sucked, to he had the job in name only — to finally landing at the obvious, that he benefited being associated with Taylor. Obviously he benefited from being the OC of a team that’s had a lot of success lately. They typically don’t hire OCs from bad teams.

I never said he sucked. I said he used Taylor's offense and his father's name to get a HC gig. Nate Hackett was another guy that was "instrumental" helping Lafleur install offense.

I hope and pray Cam goes #1 but the next 3 months is going to be some of the toughest for Cam. The media builds you up to tear you down. They're going pick and prod at Cam's game to find a reason not to take him #1 overall.

I am a Titans fan since the old Oiler days. Somehow I do not know what to wish for. Midseason I hoped for the Titans to draft Cam with a midround pick, but they are so bad, that I fear if we draft him first overall we will kill his chances of success in the league. I do not see great coaching within the organization and even though we do have some good pieces and quite some cap space I do not trust the management to make the right decision......

The optimist within me wants the Titans to draft Cam to relive Air McNair days, the realist in me thinks that if he is drafted by the Titans, he will be out of the league in 3 years.....

As a Bucs fan I’m happy Baker Mayfield was able to escape Cleveland and revitalize his career. Quite a comeback story. Took him a few seasons and detours thru Carolina and a cup of coffee with the Rams but he seems to be happy and productive in Tampa Bay. Still throws the occasional awful interception, but the Bucs could be far far worse off. They’re in a good spot at that position for the next few seasons anyway.

I would laugh hilariously if the Browns take Cam #2 and the Giants get screwed out of a QB.

This is exactly what a failure the Giants have been since that bum gettleman took over and schoen got free reign. Only the (all lowercase)giants would play to win a meaningless game when they have the #1 pick rapped up. It's simple common sense. Even if you say you got several options you use the leverage to trade down if you want from 1 and still get what you need. Like Danny devito or drew not a locke should be an option.

Tbh I don't mind him, he gets his players to play hard and has done some good work in Tennessee with an organization that doesn't really appear to know what they need to do. He essentially just got fired because ownership and him were not on the same page anymore.

The problem is, the way how football is played is different compared to how he sees it. He's an oldschool guy, pound the ball until the air gets out and then pound it some more (pause). Granted, he had Derrick Henry, but there are too many examples of him desperately wanting to stick tight to him when other options were available; like the playoff game against the Ravens in 2021 where Henry kept getting the ball whilst being held to two yards a carry.

Apparently he's got all the assistants lined up ready to do work. I don't know who these assistants are - but if he honestly wants me to believe he can raid half of Clevelands staff, bring it to New England and make it work there, he can **** off immediately.

Patriots need to do a full search and Vrabel will interview somewhere else as well. He's a hot commodity amongst owners, because he's been successful somewhere else already.

Tennessee would be the best possible scenario. Cleveland and New York are trash organizations. They will ruin Cam. Tennessee was terrible this year but they’re generally pretty well run. Ironically, quarterback play has been what’s kept them from becoming an elite franchise.

#2 After you've already gave Dany pesos this extension, you then double down on this decision and say he's more of a contributing factor to our success moving forward than Saquan Barkley who literally contributed on 75% of our positive plays. To support that decision you then don't even offer Saquan a contract until he's went out and tested the market.

The biggest thing Cam and Shadeur have going for them, is that this is a weak class overall. Everyone keeps saying this is a weak QB class but guess what? So is this class overall.

Had there been elite talent across multiple premium positions, I could see a 2022 type scenario play out with both Cam and Shadeur sliding a bit. Not nearly as bad as Pickett did but somewhere in the 8-12 range.

But there are too many QB needy teams and not enough elite players at other premium positions to see that through.

I agree. I think Shadeur has a stronger media presence and that often times tips the scales. Deion will be on a press tour here soon.

The entire Deion media presence and heightened visibility will be something a lot of NFL programs / coaches won't want to deal with.

Uhh they will do that with all the players. The good thing going for Cam is they will also be looking at his Game Changing plays and he has a lot of them.
