Cam Ward is a very similar prospect to Jayden Daniels. That group at the top all had different guys #1. Lots of teams liked Daniels as QB1. Giants included. Its not a weak class, IMO. I think Cam Ward is a sure thing. He has jumped up in competition a lot, and has done so incrementally. From running a 1940s offense in high school to a high passing attack in first year of college ball, becomes best player at that level. Goes on to P5 ball, succeeds. Moves on to P4 ball and becomes the best QB in the nation. The biggest thing Cam and Shadeur have going for them, is that this is a weak class overall. Everyone keeps saying this is a weak QB class but guess what? So is this class overall.
Had there been elite talent across multiple premium positions, I could see a 2022 type scenario play out with both Cam and Shadeur sliding a bit. Not nearly as bad as Pickett did but somewhere in the 8-12 range.
But there are too many QB needy teams and not enough elite players at other premium positions to see that through.
Outlook is dire if he is touched by the Browns as any QBs fate would be. However, any team with a pulse and he's H O T T O G O. The speed of the game won't be a shocker for him (he's accustom to speed adjustments). He's got all the tools. Carries himself like pro and a leader. High grade player.
Shedeur is nepo baby Cam Ward. That's still a good prospect, but our guy got the dawg in'em. idk what else you want me to say.
