Mom didn't even want staff to see him in Person, after the in Home from GA coaches.
She knew that's all he needed and he was committing.

I get your mom wants you here but I can't respect getting a coaching staffs hope up to come visit and wasting their time and money. At the veryleast give them that respect but hey this **** is over we move on

Yall let Liberty City El hype yall up.... We have never and will never get a top player from SEC country unless its maybe a JUCO transfer or dude grew up loving Miami or othjer extenuating circumstances..Cue the porsters who gonna name some 3 star player we pulled from there

Does Corn Elder from Tennessee count? Warran Sapp was from apopka which is a UF/FSU area. More recently Shaq from a UF/FSU area. Though I guess it depends on your definition of SEC area. Though I truly expect all examples to come back with some excuse. You already built in excuses to your statement.

I dont count Florida as SEC country and as far as elder from what I remember Tennesee and Georgia didnt go after him because they felt he was too small I think Vandy and Miss St wanted him we can win croots over those SEC guys Ohio State wanted him too I think but their not SEC we can beat them for croots too

elder was a 4 star and had tracks speed. problem was he wanted to play b-ball too. golden spoke to larranaga and was on board with it. the other schools weren't

This. Elder was a big time football recruit with SEC offers, but he was not a big time basketball recruit. He had basketball offers from schools like Jacksonville and Middle Tennessee State.

He didn't sign anywhere on signing day because he was holding out for a major school to offer him in both. That's when Miami came in late.

Playing with his brother is a consideration. But I'm not sure it's "the" consideration.

They have that option at a few places.

We had a shot.

There was legit interest. But the reality of things doesn't always match the idea, concept, or expectation.
Was it an issue with a package deal with his brother?

Wow. Text I just got.

"Mom won. Kid wants to be here"

Sour grapes from whoever sent that text.

The OV to Miami didn't go as well he hoped it would.

The Hollomans should be ashamed by the lack of class to cancel a visit that same day.

Seriously. It's incredibly disrespectful and really does show lack of class.

I would not say that if they had met with the coaches and went ahead and committed somewhere else, but to lead them on and pull this? Really unforgiveable from a Miami or neutral perspective.

Not sure I believe the he wants to be here part. Just damage control, if he wanted to be here he would have at least out of courtesy had them in-home. Very disrespectful to say we are a top school then cancel your in-home when the staff is already in town.

Whatever actually went down, this is pretty crappy not to see coaches who have taken flights to see you. Extremely low rent.

I now hope we play UGA in the bowl game and kick their asses. After the win, I want the players and coaches to give a sign (whetever that may be) on national tv to Holloman, something only he will know, that says "you had your chance to come play with us."
