Yall let Liberty City El hype yall up.... We have never and will never get a top player from SEC country unless its maybe a JUCO transfer or dude grew up loving Miami or othjer extenuating circumstances..Cue the porsters who gonna name some 3 star player we pulled from there
I agree with you but would the same logic apply to Devonta Smith?
You guys really believe we'll never pull a player from an SEC area... Don't you think that's a little extreme and absolute???
I'll go with the Liberty City El hype and forward thinking. We're not being coached by Alph anymore. If we pull DJ Johnson from Cali, that's the PAC equivalent of pulling from the SEC. I bet you Coach Kul will get an SEC country d lineman in here within 2 years.
SEC country (and Miami) is a different animal than Cali in terms of bagmen, handlers, etc. - heard it directly from someone on the prior staff who recruited all over the place.
And no, of course we'll manage a top level commit eventually from SEC country that other top SEC schools pine for. You don't have to question me - look at recruiting the last 10-15 years. Countless examples of us going after kids deep in SEC country that other top sEC schools wanted and (much) more often than not, we were left hanging (even after being given a silent commitment). It happens every year. It happened with Alf, it happened with ShannC0cker.
I agree with you completely that most often we will lose. I gave up on Holloman a while ago, especially with his brother involved. How awkward must it be for the coaches to be going to his home tonight to talk to him and his parents but not really his brother? Oy
