Quarterback of the future, not quarterback of the immediate future. Holy **** man, chill. Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, or Antivan all work fairly quickly to quell such anxiety as you are showing. Or you could simply smoke a bit of weed. Overall, you are making a huge deal out of jack ****, over a 17 year old, 7 practices into college. Worse than that, rather than take your L, you opted to grab a shovel and keep digging yourself deeper and sounding more and more idiotic.

C'mon. You read all of the same hype that I did. My take three months ago would have been the same as it is today:

He is a good prospect, I hope he develops, but he isn't a sure thing and I'm jumping into the portal for a QB in 2026 and maybe for 2027 as well.

You can certainly say it is too early to be talking like that and that is a fair counterpoint. Only time will tell.

As for the Xanax, if you are offering, I'll meet you in the Walgreens parking lot around 3:00 pm. I'll be the guy in the clown suit.

This is bull****. Those 5 guys are NOT vying for the starting jobs right now. You just named 5 guys in the Top 8 of the composite without providing any specifics of where they are on the depth chart at all.

It's not hard to figure out that you're lying. Just go to any of the sites for any of those teams and notice the absence of posts, the absence of hype, the absence of stats.

Auburn had THREE quarterbacks transfer out, and they have TWO scholarship QBs. By default, Deuce Knight is already #2. Congrats.

Kaidon Salter is the #1 at Colorado. But Coach Neon is a wildcard.

Jaron Sagapolutele is bouncing between 2 and 3 behind the clear #1 Devin White.

Bryce Baker is not the #1, and UNC is looking for a spring portal QB...oh, but he got a last minute call to throw for the WRs at Pro Day...

This kid is still basically a high school player. Way too early to assess what he will be able to do. I don’t think we will be lucky every year in the portal getting a ward or beck.
 
for the folks around these parts when Kaaya was a freshman. Did he EE? and if so, was he already being crowned? just thinking about reference.

A heads up, David Lake is not the only 1 or 2 talking this way about the backup QB room. Luke has had 8 practices, 1 in pads. I never expected him to win the backup job. Now if Emory transfers, different ballgame. We still would need a transfer QB. I personally don't want anyone outside of Beck starting a game. I have already stated that.

Between how much Michigan paid Underwood, and how disgustingly awful their roster QB’s were last year in any attempt to throw a forward pass, Michigan does not have an option. I don’t know if you watched any Michigan games but they treated the forward pass like Bo Schembechler, ‘when you pass the ball, three things can happen and two are bad’.

I will leave that riddle of the sphinx for CIS to figure out.

Been thinking, we shouldn't ignore the possibility that keeping Emory here for next year, is driving the messaging/propaganda out of Hecht about the QB room this spring.

Obviously, after the bowl game, the strategy they used last year - tl;dr: Emory actually really good! - isn't viable.

I'm not bullish on Emory, but I do think we're better off with him as our emergency backup than someone we pick up in the spring portal.
