Time for Robby Washington to step up at CB

Just to show how wrong you were.

Mooyoung had a pick before OJ did I'm guessing he should've been starting since USF.

Porter was out best outside CB last year, just as OJ had been the best so far this year
That had nothing to do with what I said. Porter had a GREAT season because other teams feasted on Davis, Williams l, Kinchens, Couch. Porter never looked like OJ while in coverage. He wasn't consistently beating his man to his spot. He wasn't consistently turning his head around looking for the ball. He was MOSTLY the beneficiary of having teammates out of position.

Me and. @Memnon consistently said all of this and consistently provided options to the portal board.

There is no reasons the folks who get paid couldn't see the glaring hole.

There also is no reason I could watch a guy game n pitbulls Dale stadium n see multiple DBS that would start here.

It's the reason my faith on their portal evals at DB this year is low again. We have multiple DBS portal in n leave the same semester which isn't good considering our rooms weren't good to begin with

100. I should have referenced you, too. The "no available talent" in the portal excuse is not credible.

While I don't disagree with you.

Do you think have Chevis running with the DBs changes anything at least int he portal?
Right now, with DB recruiting seems like, lets just get as many dbs (S and CBs) and see if we hit on a few and figure it out.

guidry speaking BS smhh ..dk why yall believe what he saying
Guidry doesn’t instill confidence. In his press conferences, I don’t hear him identifying the problems that we all see and identifying solutions.

For me, i just want to see improvement , not regression. That’s how I judge these coaches.

We all see that missed tackles , missed assignments and missed communications are recurring problems that seem to be getting worse. I would like to see one good defensive conference game. IMHO, good coaching should simplify things so that the players can understand their assignments, communicate better and play fast. Louisville did it. SMU is doing it with players like Jafari Harvey and Harrison Hunt who left our program. Guidry should do the same

Yup just a bunch of southern charm and empty quotes

The fact we didn’t get more DBs out of the portal is what screwed us not McClain specifically. We could have picked up Antoine Jackson too just didn’t want him. I haven’t watched enough UCF games to see how he’s doing so won’t judge staff for not taking him back. But someone, anyone who could be good or better would have been nice. I place the blame fully on the coaches for that.

There were a half dozen above average DBs in the portal. I think Cristobal was looking to spend big NIL money on an elite DB. He waited too long and then decided he didn’t want to settle for merely above average. Probably could have landed 2 good to very good DBs for the price of 1 elite one. Unfortunately that one short-sighted decision (especially with all the NIL money we had) may cost us a championship. I suspect Cristobal gives Guidry a lot of leash for personnel decisions on defense. He has placed far too much trust in him. Terrible hire.

The missed communication and guys WIIIIDE open every game is where you have to draw the line, there is a disconnect when you call a time out and the team comes out and still has multiple guys wiiiiiiiiiiide *** open. That means something is broken, because, fsu does it one week for TD and next week guy still wide open and everyone looks confused.

Coaches are seeing on film and next week they can execute same thing and KNOW their guys will be open because no one knows their rules and responsibilities. Guidry works with DBs. This is a mess.

Duke just dressed it up but same as fsu week before. Saddest part we called Timeout and in breakdown asking for another one, lol..

We clearly wanted to confuse Murphy by giving him two wide open options and making him make a quick decision

Hope he learned his lesson and pursues both paths. No great DB is going to be afraid of a good DB who portals in. It was stupid not to upgrade talent where he could while big game hunting. He does that with high school recruits.

This man referenced KEITH SWEAT with a NO-BOOOODY regarding who was covering the slot dude and homie that scored. OMFG! Hilarious!

The stats and my eyes beg to differ. Everything OJ has done he did last year.

Yall dig yall heels in on opinions and never come off of it. None of yall expected him to be our best cb last year and cant fathom he had a good year and hate to admit it. This year hasnt been good at nickel but i think he would look better and more comfortable on the outside.

Him being good last year doesnt make what OJ is doing this year any lesser...that dude is so smooth at cb as a freshman man his ceiling is sooooo high

My thoughts on Porter were recorded in 2023. If you saw him locking down his side last year you missed the bigger picture. Sometimes your eyes lie to you my boy.

I was huge on Guidry before the season started, but this type of stuff at this point in the season in his second year here makes me question if he'll be back in '25.

I hate calling timeouts on defense. We had no business using a timeout in that spot. We allowed them the opportunity to run a play with three formation shifts.

The numbers aren't impressive. He played well, he didn't play as well as OJ has this year. You are moving the goalposts.
what goal post ive moved?. Ive stated the same thing over n over i dont want to have to put down another of our players just to say the dude did the same as him but he currently has a better covg grade (2023) than Frederique does.

This is our best outside tandem if they are playing Porter out wide so im GOOD with it honestly.

But yall been playing on Porter since he got here and hate to admit being wrong on it lol.

The crazy part is most of yall were the same ones that didnt want Frederique so its even more funny to see.

OCs copy each other all the time. Duke copies FSU on that play. If (I am confident to say when) GT comes out on Saturday and runs this same or similar play, our defense better be prepared to stop it 😡

This is a wild take.
