Tim "Lice" Harris is a joke thread

I dont really care what DK did(barring troubles with the law) or what his academics look like, I would still have let the scholie ride, and sort it out after NSD, the backlash from Ice, the influence on 6, and the PR nightmare are not worth it IMO, I dont care what point AG is trying to make. Well probably have some deflections in the off season, so why is the number crunch such a big deal, God forbid they oversign by one player. Even if he was a silent to the Noles, getting dissed on NSD isnt as bad as what has transpired recently.

harris has influence on all the dade schools, that is a fact, every school down here loves harris, and lets not forget he is part of team that produces talent, something doesnt feel right about this whole situation, there is something that is not being said, money, promises, something, i really dont think that golden is this stupid and even if he is coley, crystal ball, and carroll are not stupid they would stop golden from doing that and that is just saying if golden is stupid (im not saying that and i dont think he is) and someone had said this in one of the 55,000 page post that we may never know what really happened

no but harris has an influence on all the schools in south florida, how many times do you hear other coaches doing shout outs to harris and booker t, im talking about opposing coaches, the centrals, MNW

And I'll never for a minute believe that Ice is on Al's side. He's just done a better job of hiding it than big mouths like Luke have. Ice had a good high-paying gig at UM under Shanntard. Al comes in. Bye bye cushy gig at UM. Not buying the UM/Al love from Ice at all, and he showed his true colors on the subject last night when his emotions all came spewing out like hot ***gy lava.

This dude Ice is a powerful figure. Big dude. Big voice. Big connections in the community. You mean to tell me if he was really a big UM/Al supporter that he couldn't help convince Kirk or Thomas to commit to the local school and quit with all this f#ckery. Not buying his schtick for a minute and not buying all the dudes claiming he loves UM. If he loved UM he'd be exercising his influence in a positive manner, not trying to nuke us in the press a week before signing day.

This dude Ice tries to act like he's a bystander with his recruits and lets them do whatever they want with no input. Not buying it. This dude's got an ego, and like I said he's a powerful figure. If he was really so hands-off with the recruiting, then why's he pitching a fit about this? And why was he claiming he had Kirk in the bag for UM yesterday despite Kirk being absolutely unwilling to commit.

The whole thing stinks.

Great post. Was going to post something similar. Ice is straight ******* us. You don't get emotional and go to the media when you **** well know Miami and Al can't respond if you love the university.
 
We have what? Two commitments from the "State of Miami"?? Doesn't sound like what Golden has been preaching at all.

To the people that keep posting this, which kids that have committed elsewhere do you wish we had taken? There's a clear elite group in So Fla this year.... the two we've taken, and the kids we're waiting on.

What more do you want spelled out. Kid was on the take from an SEC, Golden found out about it, sent Barrows to investigate, Barrows met first with Ice to relay the info and requested 3 way private meeting with kid and Ice, Barrow wanted to test the rumor and asked him to commit on spot, when kid said NO, Golden had to cut the kid loose. With the NCAA investigation about to be closed he can not take any risks with more dirty money. Ice was just protecting his kid. That is the deal.

soo which PR would be worse, Miami pulling a scholly from a player who wasnt ready to commit a week before signing day OR miami telling a kid who commits on signing day that he doesnt really have an offer anymore?

So many different stories. Some say grades and others say he was given a chance to commit. Why would Barrow to go to him asking if he is coming if he didn't have the grades? Somebody somewhere is lying or is just misinformed.

This and only this. If he doesnt qualify then so what. That happens every year. Short of Kirkland taking a **** on the Miami hat I do not see any reason to create such a mess.

and when did BTW become a pipeline school to miami? and i'll say it again u really think that becuz ice harris was upset at miami that no one will come to miami from south florida? all miami will have to do is get the kids on campus, let them meet the tracys, the dukes, the artie burns, who all seem to love golden and let them tell the kids how much golden looks out and doesnt play favorites. Miami will be fine recruiting in south florida and im willing to bet miami will still get kids from BTW
