There’s more to talent than physical skills.

Players consistently lining up incorrectly, miscommunicating, or other mental mistakes is a talent tissue. We’ve seen this repeatedly throughout the season. Some of this could be coaching, although I doubt players are coached to make these mistakes. Maybe things need to be coached a different way. Maybe some players are put in positions they shouldn’t be in. I’m not a coach so I don’t know.

Tyler Barron finally got benched last week. Once again he freelanced and didn’t play his assignment. We’ve seen this many times from him. Athletically he passes all the tests but consistently failing to execute his assignments doesn’t help anyone.

The teams defensive woes are a combination of players and coaching.

Thinking we were going to fix every single down of alignment/communication off the bye is not realistic. They were invited the right spots more than they weren't during the game. They settled down/in after the first few drives.

We don't need the defense to be perfect and expecting them to be after our issues all year is dumb.

Let's see if we get better vs syracuse.

Did anyone at the game noticed on the first play the te was out wide in front of the receiver and motioned back in line? Both 0 and 29 followed the TE and Powell was trying to get OJ to stay with the wr. I've been to six games this year and for the most part I've seen this happen alot. I think Powell knows for the most part where everyone should be but for some reason he's being ignored.

My take is there no real leader on defense, not playing team ball and everyone is kinda doing their own thing. It's crazy to watch the defense make two positive plays in a row and then absolutely **** up the next play because someone has a lapse in their assignment.

Its less about finger pointing to me.

It doesn't matter whos really at fault, its just very bad, and it opens more questions.

Is it Guidry telling them to do this?

Do none of the players realize how wrong they are lined up?

Do they realize the error but aren't allowed to fix it?

Do they know its wrong and are just ignoring?

Why are they ignoring it? Do they not care, or do they think the other players are too stupid?
This is pretty well where my brain was when I made the comments I made earlier in this thread.

I remember seeing this play in real time and actually being a little surprised that the play only gained 6 yards.

Not really you got me in one of your photos you posted. I think it's Damari you're taking taking a picture of, I was on the terrace across the way second table by the tunnel standing up with the black hoody and Grey hat. Nice try *** hat but I'll look for you in Charlotte and hopefully Mercedes Benz.

Already got my boxes booked through Natty

Keep sitting in the corner of the end zone tho… 🤡

I’ll be in the Golden Cane Lounge

This is directly behind the bench…

It not the worst thing from this play, but Lance ffs please stop asking Justin Scott to twist outside when he's in the game. He's a true freshman who's really tall and he just stands straight up whenever we ask him to twist outside. Same **** happened in VT game a couple of times.
