Now the oldtimer understands, LOL. As Ethnicsands states, this is BS. Banda is a closer and can get coffee when he wants. Rump is still trying to get his first cup of coffee (for the older folks in the crowd). You need to be able to BS and sell a recuit, just like the little bartender got his hot wife back in the day. Rump with his social skills can't even recruit anyone and always gets the last chick at the dance who no one wanted to dance with all night.What might that mean?
Caused = cost
Certain bartender = Banda
One year = this year
Banda cost us 3 cbs this year?
Okay, let’s run with this. Rumph, Manny and Baker couldn’t figure out CB recruiting while Banda was hauling in James Williams, Kinchens on top of A. Williams, Balom and Harrell?
Or maybe sour grapes from the person responsible for CB recruiting, who failed at it (again). Hey CB recruiter, why’d you not sign CBs? Hey, because that bartender. His fault. Not your fault? Nope, definitely not my fault. His fault. Ah, okay. Well, I’m sure one of these years you’ll take responsibility for your recruiting shortcomings, unless it’s always someone else’s fault. Yeah, no doubt. If it’s ever my fault I’ll be quicklyest to let you know. Cool. Cool.
Even if true, yet another example of Rumph being unable to convince people to do something.Exactly what I’ve heard Rumph had kids he wanted to offer but banda and manny said no their too small! Same thing happened to Asante Samuel! They finally let Rumph get couch last minute last year
There’s been quite a few guys we would’ve if landed if Rumph had say so. I don’t think anyone realizes the trend of CBs we recruit... All 6 foot plus and not the best of athletesExactly what I’ve heard Rumph had kids he wanted to offer but banda and manny said no their too small! Same thing happened to Asante Samuel! They finally let Rumph get couch last minute last year
Jez, the ability of the human mind to rationalize anything is amazing.Even if true, yet another example of Rumph being unable to convince people to do something.
Runph can't convince adults to let him offer his kids. Rumph can't convince the kids he's told to recruit to come here.
Rumph. Can't. Convince.
That's the only pattern here.
I was thinking the same thing about the mental gymnastics people will go through to defend Rumph's recruiting. Avoiding cognitive dissonance at all costs.Jez, the ability of the human mind to rationalize anything is amazing.
I'm not saying it is because I have no clue, but IF its true that Rumph has no control over who he can offer, he should tell Manny and Banda to eat his *** and bounce.The bottom line is our entire approach to CB recruiting and play needs an overhaul. From the identification and recruiting of guys to the green lighting of offers to their development to how they are taught to play to the scheme they play in. It all needs to go, and that is on Rumph, both DCs, and Diaz.
If it's true, is it really an excuse? There's got to be a reason why we repeatedly fail. It seems more and more like a "doing the same thing expecting different results" situation.That was last years excuse, wasn’t it?
Except that I was using it as an example of people blaming Rumph even if it's true the Mandy and Banda don't allow Rumph to green light or recruit a CB.I was thinking the same thing about the mental gymnastics people will go through to defend Rumph's recruiting. Avoiding cognitive dissonance at all costs.
