There are only three things fans can do...

Our defense sucks, but our fans are a disgrace!!!

LULZ. The fans who are upset and raising **** are trying to force necessary changes. Change doesn't happen on its own. Getting sour at UM fans for being fed up with a historically bad defense 3 years in and trying to force a guy to fire his clearly incompetent pal seems misplaced at best. Some of us are unwilling to sit back and pretend things are fine and hope that he fires his best man of his own volition.
Gotta agree here. I agree with #2, no one should be calling the recruits anything and number 3 that if you give money you shouldn't snitch.

But if I give money to the school either through buying tickets or donating to the school then the only effective way I can truly protest or voice my displeasure is by not showing up to games or by not donating money. You can't field a bad product 3 years running and tell fans to still show up (this is strictly referencing the Al Golden years).

Thing is, if Al DOES choose to fire Donofrio, you'll sit back pound your chest and claim you "actually FORCED change". When in reality it could have been his plan all along.

Al will make a change if HE feels it necessary to help move the program forward. Not because a couple dozen internet commandos are going ape ****.
Well we will never know. But sitting idle and saying and doing nothing isn't going to force change. We did that last year, and D'onofrio got one more year.

Honestly, with our fan support, I am surprised anyone would want to play for us. Looked like me night have 5000 fans at the game yesterday.

You left out that fans can force change. If the fans didn't force it, then corches wouldn't get fired.

FROM CHAMPS TO CHUMPS. THANKS BUTCH!

That sign flew in 1997. When Butch was putting together the greatest college football roster of all time and a staff littered with future NFL and college head coaches.

I'm glad they didn't force a change then.
Forced him to shake up his staff. Glad that worked. As much as people want to revise history as it pertains to Davis, he never won anything here and gagged in 2000 with a championship roster.

Understood but I disagree with #2. If you have a recruit, acting like a ****** (Lane), he deserves to be labeled as one. I can understand if people disagree with that, but that's how I feel.

Wait until after signing day.

If a guy like Sony Michel starts having second thoughts, you don't want him to have a negative impression of Miami because of our fans. He is a guy that can make a difference in wins and losses.

Bridgewater cited Miami's "abusive" fanbase as one of the reasons he chose Louisville. The fans said "that shows he isn't mentally tough." He is now considered one of the most mentally tough players in the country, as well as one of the best.

This isn't about what's right or wrong. It's about doing our small part to help this program acquire talent and win games.

Dmoney how does expect to be in the nfl where he will get "fan abuse" at all times if he under performs or even if he dosent make the playoffs yearly????

That kid is in for a rude awakening if he likes to be coddled like a baby at all times lulz at defending behavior like that

Fvck teddy he will fold like a cheap suit in the nfl

...to affect the outcome of a college football game.

Number one, show up to the games. Give the home team energy, make it hard for the opponents and create a good atmosphere for the recruits. Easy enough. But some of us chose not to go yesterday to "make a statement" or because "the kids are soft."

Number two, don't call active recruits ******s on the internet. Self-explanatory. But we can't do that.

Number three, give money to the program without turning into a ******* snitch to the NCAA. We can't do that, either.

Yes, the defense sucks. The fans are sucking worse. Step your game up and be part of the solution.

We never turnout in force...more than 45K for any game outside FSU...VT is its important and that a push...

All boards rip all recruits 24/7...canes are no worse than others teams fans

as for giving money, I agree support the team thru Season tickets that helps 1 and 3...but money is not the issue at this point...winning is, winning gets us better bowls, better recruits and better facilities..

I will add a 4th...feel free to *****

We need our own stadium, smaller with seats closer to the field and it needs to be as close to campus as possible. My level of hate for that stadium cannot be expressed in words.

Number 2 happens everywhere when you arent winning. Number 3 only happens at UM. ****ing Shapiro. Number 1 is the big obstacle for a coach at UM to overcome. The attendance is ****ing disgrace. It was 8 degrees last night in Ames Iowa and they out drew UM to watch a one win team take on a three win team.

I know right. Because comparing AMES IA to South Florida is a spot on comparison. The option in Ames IA is to go cow tipping

Just my opinion, but this is what's REALLY holding the program back. Coaches come and go, but we simply cannot stay in that shytehole and expect to ever maintain an elite program. Again, just my opinion, and I realize that it's a pipe dream that we get our own stadium any time soon.

comparing apples and oranges. He has very little if any choice on where he plays in the nfl. He had every choice on choosing a college

You took Turdy ****water at his word? LULZ. Strange how he came to that sudden realization about UM's fans immediately after Shannvo got fired.

I will never blame another fan for not wanting to go spend their hard-earned money to go sit in an empty stadium to watch their team get dominated by a 2-8 UVA team.

UF's attendance has gone down because they suck. FSU's was down when they sucked too. Only difference is our attendance was already bad to begin with.

I'll credit the hardcore Canes fan nation for forcing the change, not myself. You can poo poo the affect of disgruntled fans all you want, but you sound like a dinosaur when you do it.

P.S. It's a lot more more than a couple dozen internet fans who want this defense changed.

Miami has the worst fans in college football and it's not close. Miami as a city has the worst fans.

Ya you're really showing the administration by not showing up. Especially if you already bought season tickets...

The best part will be us opening 7-0 next year and all the soft shouldered fans are back on the bandwagon and back to MIAMI IS BETTER THAN EVERYONE. THE U IS BACK!!!

Nope, not true, not at all. Miami fans are a walk in the park compared to SEC fans. Think Golden and the coaches get criticized here? Try visiting an SEC message board. Think talk radio is bad here? Listen to it in Birmingham or Monthomery or Jacksonville when Bama or Auburn or Florida is down. Our attendance sucks, but big SEC and other conference state schools have issues too. The Swamp was half full yesterday. We just look worse because we have a smaller fan base to begin with. You realize Florida has 50,000 students. You realize Florida's student section has 10,000 more seats than our total enrollment? You realize Auburn fans met Chizik's plane at the airport when he was hired to boo him? You realize LSU fans racially attack their own players from the stands, on twitter, on the radio?

I'm so sick of this, we have the worst fans crap. We don't, its not even close.

Guys get all warm in their chests when they rip fans, who buy tickets and donate large sums of money to the program, and players, who are on the front lines. Those same guys get all wadded up and cranky when you rip the professional corches getting paid millions of dollars. Sounds right. Double LULZ.

Yeah, it sucked getting free upgrades to Club Level seats on Saturday so my family could watch the game and not sit in the rain, and check out the AC food vendors and lounge, and it sucks that we have a Hurricane walk where we can go cheer for the players , and it sucks that families can have their kids win prizes and have a pre-game carnival like atmosphere , and why do they let us see replays on a big screen and have interactive fan activities during the game, and who wants functioning restrooms and food and beverage choices, and how lame that you can park adjacent to the stadium with highway access in and out.

I went to school with the players that first put Miami on the map, played ball in the OB, and have supported UM throughout. That should not have any effect on how much my opinion counts, nor should my number of posts. There are tens of thousands of actual fans who love Miami and still count because we don't turn our backs, act like snot nose brats , threatening to take our toys and go play with our self, and trying to make ourselves more important by being the most original *****er on the net.

There are some frequent posters with insight and knowledge that critique and analyze with actual content and rationale. The rest of the drivel should be rerouted to the plethora of other sites where the attention whores and net flunkees congregate. Hopefully the moderators can maintain this sites integrity with curse of popularity; namely the lowest common denominator factor destroying the experience for the many.

If your level of hate cant be expressed in words then you answered your own question: dont try!

It's the automatic robot response. Our fans are the worst. Our fans are the worst. Our fans are the worst. Robbie Robot short-circuiting...NO...ouch....

You know what's the worst? Our defense. Our defense is way worse than our fans. Go look at uf.ag fans and see how happy they are this year. See if any of those uf.ag boosters are squawking about Muscrap or if they're just sitting back ripping other fans for not going to see their team get steamrolled by a high school team yesterday. Ax Ron Zook how forgiving those fans are.

haa! you have such one sided takes sometime. Butch would have won the ship that year if they had got it right and had us in the title game, instead they had a team we beat, FSU with their 30year old QB and dumb as traitor Snoop Minis… We ended up going to the Sugar Bowl in N.O. to destroy the Gaytors. ****, with Butch at the helm, we would have won at least 3 in a row. Coker is probably the worst coach to ever coach a Championship team and its all in thanks to Butch's recruiting….
