The Work 2-3

LOL @ Urban Meyer. Meyer was the hottest coach in America when UF got him.

UM will NEVER bring in an established coach of that calibur. It is going to have to be a young up and coming unproven HC or coordinator from the NFL. Simply amazing to me how people dont understand this yet.

UM is NOT FSU, UT, Bama or any of those giant programs, so stop expecting to get coaches they way they do. "lets bring in a great coach", but how are you going to know who a "great" coach is? Becaue if he's already a "great coach", UM cant afford him. Its always going to be a cr@p shoot, and its going to require patience. No matter who it is.

some of these arguments make no sense. all his jags were in 2011. last year he got gilbert who was all big 10, corn and griffin who were all american caliber. We have two highly regarded busts in jelani and grimble. also, dequan ivory we flipped out of no where to us from louisville and was well-regarded. unfortunately, we only seem to get dt's who can qualify but are lazy. Our academics hurt us with Stuckey who is a beast and honestly, travonte might not be coming here because of his grades and just saving face.

Dude, Valentine's grades are fine. There's plenty of other reasons why he's not coming here. But grades aren't one of them.

I think you are wrong. I believe UM requires two years of a foreign language class and that TV had only completed one year. He would have to take online classes to get the 2nd year under his belt. LSU apparently does not have this requirement. If this is accurate it means that if TV inked with UM and was unsuccessful completing the additional coursework that he would not have been accepted. There are reasons for TV to go to LSU (cough... Genron ...cough) and this very well could be one of the "scare" tactics used by LSU.

**Look for Miami to pick up a player or two after signing day. They are expected to have a couple of extra scholarships available. There is a decent chance that Brayden Lenius pushes his signing back after Wednesday. If he does that, he will most likely take a trip to Miami.

I'm glad we got Corn after NSD last year, so it may not be all JAGS

Logic at it's finest.

I dont see Miami changing their philosophy to a spread option which seems to be ideal for Treon. Also if Coley hand picked Kayaa, who is not a runner and more of a pro-style doesnt seem to be a huge change in offense to want Treon.
On CS (I know...boo the source), Ice Jr. was quoted as saying the following:

"There are things coach Coley wants to do with a guy like him and he wanted to show him on tape the offense and get him used to the terminology."

Harris adds that "If Treon makes the decision to go there it would be a one-back deal - they can do a lot of it from a one back system with four receivers or three and a tight end and be able to use the quarterback as a read in the run game, which they weren't able to do last year with (Stephen) Morris. Treon brings that other dimensions."

So...it looks like Coley is recruiting Treon on the premise that we WILL switch things up a bit towards some Read Option/Spread Option concepts. We may still run Pistol or straight up Shotgun with one back, but it looks like given the above, that they want Treon to come in and hopefully add that dimension of a running QB to the offense. I'm not against it.

****, extra scholarships sitting around and still no offers to McKenzie, Dowels, Cerenod, or Battle?

One was a PUNTER
One never made it in
The other is a backup corner. We still don't know what we have there

None of that makes up for the failures in recruiting that big fat Al has sufferred.

One more year and No D is canned. Just have to live with it. He is the single most detriment to our improvements. And those blaming cloud. PSU signed top QB with a 4 year bowl ban and massives scholly loss. DL loves sacks and tfls. They dont see that from us. Sorry u have to show it then kids will wanna join even if its not executed right. This sux.....its not handlers and money and all that its the constant drubbings on the field. The sec didn't just find money, they had it back in 2000 as well

Corn looked **** solid as a true freshman out there, better than expected.

WTH, I know those guys have potential, but at this point don't you think it's better to bank those scholarships for next year?

On one hand you're saying you can't judge a recruit because he's a backup and only been here a year but then golden has failed in recruiting?

2011 class I don't care about because he had less than 30 days of actual recruiting to put together a class. Next year Shapiro story breaks but Al still puts together a pretty solid 2012 class. 2013 still dealing with Shapiro and negative recruiting but Al puts together another decent class. Missed on some pretty important recruits at DT. 2014 no more Shapiro and we have a VERY solid class covering everything except maybe a big back. What say you?

I would have been happy if we added McKenzie as the first scholly offered! That kid is a playmaker and I totally see him blowing up somewhere. But other than him, I am ok just saving the ships.....

Meanwhile, Florida gonna have a top 5 class coming off a 4-8 season. **** our lives.

Makes you wonder what excuse the Al Golden loving, Don Bailey Jr supporting crowd will have for this disappointing recruiting cycle.

Top 10 class and one of the best and deepest recruiting classes we've ever had at Miami is a disappointment?

The only disappointment is the vast majority of the "fans"

I would usually agree with saving the scholly but with this staff's track record, they most likely won't hit on their top prospects next year either.

as long as golden is here we will be running a 3-4...
