Dastardly fans screwed UM again. We must have got a different group of fans after Butch Davis left because they didn't seem to affect him.

I don't waste my time with Golden4Life. The dude can't see the forest through the coaches' cox. Butch Davis assembled the greatest collection of talent in the history of college football at UM. Yet, this guy is going to make a smart guy post talking about him having guys de-commit like that means anything given the guy's overall results as a recruiter here.

Not always. I never said every kid gets paid, or the only reason some kids dont come here is because of money. But money has always been an issue, and its been getting much worse over the years in So Fla.

Butch's classes on paper were not all that. Butch made great evaluations and found kids who were getting ready to explode at the next level. Wasnt like he was loading up on 4 and 5 star guys every year.

Saying sh*t like this makes me think you are some 19 year old kid who has no f8cking clue about how Butch Davis recruited and what those classes were like when they were recruited and signed. LOL, now its about "overall results", but that's not what you posted. You said "it didnt seem to affect him", but yet we DID have kids who decommitted and screwed us during Butch's era. We had plenty of So Fla 4 and 5 star kids bolt to UF, FSU and the SEC. That Butch was a great talent evaluator and found many studs has absolutely NOTHING to do with wether he still lost kids to other schools, which your post clearly implied that somehow he didnt.

Probably better for us that he doesnt. If he cant qualify here, Id rather him go to prep for a year, then come here, or JUCO. Would rather have him in a year or two, than have him go to Marshall or WVU or Kentucky.

I dont think that was a deciding factor on any of these kids. It may have scared a few, but AG could have easily spun that and put it to rest on the phone with them. Kids that are flaking were kids that were having concerns for other reasons as well. Not to say the PSU thing didnt make some think twice, or maybe gave some pause, but Im not buying that it was a major factor for anyone.

Again, I didnt say that it may not have made some kids think, or given them pause. But I dont believe it was a DECIDING factor. Powell has said in a number of interviews, and his Coach did also, that UF had been the school he had always wanted, and they had not offered until they did. He also seemed butthurt after the Cook thing heated up and even went up to Tenn on an OV. It has also been WIDELY reported, including from some guys who are considered (TIFWIW) on CS as "insiders" that there was some kind of hang up with him, and another long time poser on CS who works at UF, and claims that he talked to Powell the day he checked in at UF and that Powell told him there WAS a delay with his transcript at UM.

So again, it could have been something that contributed, but I dont think it was a deciding factor.

Agreed that attendance shouldn't affect Golden more then it did prior coach.

But, seeing how we have more talent per capita then the rest of the country….then Social Media does have more affect on us. What other area could claim to have 3 of the top 4 RBs and 3 of the top 7 WRs in the Nation. Especially since the majority of talent in SFL is at skill positions, which players at those positions tend to enjoy the attention more then others….

Sony was probably 3 years old the last time Miami played in a BCS bowl game. Georgia has been a lot more successful recently. This year, Georgia won 1 less game in a much harder conference

And barely survived against UF with Aaron Murray at qb. Do you know how lucky UM would be to have him?! And they gave up 20 to UF so lets not front liek they're so great and what championship have they won? Good program but Auburn, Bama, LSU, and UF **** on UGA

You could tell us what is going on with Sony

Lets see, been recruiting him since the 8th grade. Recruited him hard as ****. Kid claims he is a lifelong Canes fan. Loves us. Had been to campus tons of times on unofficial visits. Commits to UGA (SEC) out of the blue, and REFUSES to even meet with our coaches, take their calls, or even come on an OV. And now is reportedly still "open", but still wont even consider UM.

Dont know what that tells you, but it seems pretty clear to me what's going on there.

That he's willing to give up the UGA money to go elsewhere but not to go to UM?

Maybe we are the ONLY school NOT offering money.

And that would make sense, considering UM is on NCAA probation, and coming off the Shapiro disaster, which pretty much FORCES UM to be on its best behavior. Not that it would be able to compete with the $$$ the SEC throws around under normal circumstances.

That would actually make zero sense as the home school being considered is the most likely to drive up the price. So, it you believe all the **** you spew that Sony is quite the business man and is taking offers why leave your best leverage off the table? Now, again, SHUT THE **** UP.

How much have you seen of him? Are you getting info from other sources? Just wondering because I personally can't tell a ton from the highlight videos. Would be great news.

k9 first put me on to Lenius back in October.

This guy has a ton of local buzz and looks the part on his Hudl clips. He runs well, high points the ball, and he was borderline dominant against a Serra secondary loaded with D-1 athletes. We always joke about kids being 16 after Dmitri Stewart, but this guy looks young. He may just be scratching the surface of his physical development.
