The Seantrel Henderson thread...

Agree with you bbcane. I think his previous diva moments and/or lack of McKinnie-esque fulfillment brings this on to an extent.

I went through this multiple times from 7th grade, jr high, into my freshman year at the U. It ranged from accidents, surprise deaths from illness and murder. Very tough to re-set yourself the very next second and go play or (as some seem to expect) just move on like nothing happened, regardless of how much is "at stake" in some fan's view of the present moment.

Any sort of game (or anything else) becomes trivial in comparison, and what you are doing with your life moves to the forefront. Merely existing, coping with it is likely where he is right now. Golden is an astute man who recognizes this, I am sure. Time and Seantrel will take its course and maybe he'll get it that nothing is guaranteed and goes for it with renewed passion.

At a certain point I am hoping that Seantrel gets back up, rededicates himself with a therapeutic total immersion that first provides him sanctuary in his chosen sport, and works to ultimately make him stronger as a person. Hope so.

completely serious question, is there anyway Seantrel red-shirts?

Just to get his house in order with on real focus on pressure to get back to football?

This is a total rebuild year, and we will be lucky to win 7 games. If Seantrell does not get his head on straight, it may be a blessing in disguise, as it will give Flowers a ton of invaluable experience to prepare him for next year.

My heart goes out to this kid. Noone knows what he is going through. I have lost loved ones and can tell you that football or other social activities were not a priority for me. We (fans) sometimes think of these kids as being larger than life. This kid maybe 20 years old.
