The Past Decade: Revealed

Of course those games determine the national champion but they're not different than any other baseball game.

Thank you. That's why it's a red flag that we can't win those baseball games in Omaha that are "not different than any other baseball game". We rack up the wins in March. Then when we play the games for the national championship that are "not different than any other baseball game" we have underperformed for 15 years.

And what kind of attitude is that anyway? Again, when did we decide that regular season accolades are good enough?

They're not good enough. They're just more representative.

You're running around like a clown claiming that we showed our true colors in two games out of 64. Why? Because you already made up your mind years ago (circa 2012) and are now just displaying confirmation bias.

The same silliness that can cause a team to lose to an inferior opponent in March can cause a team to lose to an inferior opponent in Omaha.

That's why it's a red flag that the silliness has shown up every single time we've been in Omaha for the past 15 years. That's not accidental nor is it random.

Two games? Times 15 years, right? Stop pretending like we just hit an Omaha skid in 2016.

Yeah, I heard. We lost in 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 because it's random. Darn luck. But we won in 2001 because of Jim Morris. We heard it all.

No.

We arguably had the best team and we won it. Ironically both of our championship teams are two of the few winners that can actually say that.

Excuse for what?

Not understanding basic concepts.

You still to this day don't understand randomness.

You are wildly incorrect, as usual. As long as you and Stevie Stats compare baseball games to coin flips I will be head and shoulders above both of you on that topic.

Explain to me again how it's "random" that we haven't won a game against a #1 seed in eight years?

The same things you always say. Fanboys. Cliches. Delusional.

The stupidity I'm confronting is always the same so, yeah.

You can say it all you want. That's what narcissist bullies do. Doesn't bother me one bit. Everyone is stupid. But in the end, you're defending a guy who can't compete for a championship to save his life. Yeah, 50 wins. Coastal. Random Omaha. Not his fault. We know.

That's easy.

Because we didn't play one in 2014, 2015 or 2016. That's a totally random outcome. Something completely out of our control.

When we had lesser teams 2011-13 we simply lost to the 1-seeds that were better than us.

This goes back to the stupid initial post in this thread.

But in the end, you're defending a guy who can't compete for a championship to save his life.

I mean seriously. It's comical.

We're a national seed the last two years and are one of 3 teams to reach Omaha in both seasons.

But our coach can't compete for a championship to save his life.

And Jay Johnson can, right?

And that means what exactly?

It's as simple as this.

The fanboy whiners have made basically two really stupid claims recently to try to explain our losses in Omaha.

1) 'We're soft! When the bright lights come on we fold!'

This team had 20+ come from behind wins. They did it in the regular season. In the ACC Tournament. In the regional. In the Super Regional. To say that they were soft is utterly preposterous and an embarrassment to anybody who would say such a thing.

2) 'When we play the best competition we come up short!'

We have the most wins (23) in the country vs. the top 25. The two teams in Omaha weren't the best we played this year. Not by a long-shot. So that's another silly and irrational claim.

We were eliminated by 3-seed in 2016. We were a 1 seed.

We were eliminated by a 1 seed in 2015 (sorry to correct you again). We were a 1 seed.

We were eliminated by a 2 seed in 2014. We were a 1 seed.

Go on. Do tell. Tell us again how impressive the last three post-seasons have been.

That Jay Johnson might be putting a CWS trophy in the UA athletic department lobby? I know, that's a bad thing.

As long as you continue to use the regular season to defend the post-season, you will show that you don't understand what's going on here. We came from behind to beat someone like Georgia Tech or Pittsburgh? That's what we're celebrating? That's the proof that we have a really great program?
