The Official ****y Flowers Junior Highlights!!

Morgan Mahalak and Sean White shouldn't be compared with Flowers or Edouard when talking about being an athlete. Granted Mahalak and White are the "prototypical" QB's but they look like pop warner punters against Edouard and Flowers. Mahalak didn't even start for his own team. Sean White could be a reasonable argument, but when you look at the potential that both Flowers and Edouard have it blows' Sean White's out of the water.

After watching those highlights....not as great an athlete as I originally thought. There is a noticeable difference between his highlights and Alin's clips: when Alin takes off to run.....he gone.

Look at who Alin is making those runs against. Might as well be JV. I love Alin (and have for a long time) because of his release and overall ability. I support the offer wholeheartedly. But as far as athleticism there is no comparison, it is ****y.

Disagree:

Look at that play at 10:40 when he gives it to his RB for a big gain. The rb is 10 yards ahead and Alin just walks him down like its nothing looking for blocks. Alin is a freak athlete out there.

This is where I stand. Alin is a good player but Winky put a team with way less talent than hialeah and played tough top teams and carried those guys deep into the playoffs. Guy is a player, I am not sure if he is a UM caliber qb but kid is definitely a player. Winky got plays and is running around against Norland, northwesten, Booker T, and Immokalee (nade alot of those guys on that defense look bad)

Will probably get a "true" offer this summer. Will have to show he can play another position besides QB at a high level at camp.

He can play safety. That is his NFL position. The thing people don't realize about Flowers is how physical he is. There are some highlights that didn't even make that reel of him laying dudes out.

Oh just a big reminder here. The last "Prototypical" QB we took that everyone loved. His name was Kyle Wright now that guys set a legacy at UM.

I think it's tough for a lot of you guys who don't have the chance to watch him play live to realize how special he is. I hate to use cliches, but Flowers has that "it" factor

Straight BALLER..And does anyone even acknowledge with the team that he has, how far they went? One game away from the State Final. OFFER.

EXACTLY... I dont think people will appreciate the team WINKY carried deep in the playoffs. I remember they had soo many penalties in one game and STILL won, lol..

Ohh and I havent heard that piccalo drop in soo long, shout out for that one!

Most people here would not have recruited Denard Robinson either.

So, I don't act surprised.

Honestly from just the highlights you can see "it".

Agreed, saw him twice and love what he brings to the game, watching Alin highlights its easy to like the tools he has to offer but since I havent seen him myself I am skeptical just a bit. Especially with the stats he had and also the record hialeah put up. Really looking forward to seeing him perform in spring.

as a QB i still wouldn't take Denard. My best friend is a michigan fan and i've seen a lot of Robinson, michigan became a lot better and more balanced when he got hurt. i'd take him as a ATH maybe WR or CB

I would take him especially if you like Dewey or Olsen. Its okay to take a couple less polished players when you have some true QB prospects.

its not like Hialeah plays in some crappy catholic league:

Belen
Hialeah Miami Lakes
Norland
North Miami
Lakeland
North Miami Beach
Dr.Krop
Palmetto

All on their schedule.

There's a lot of bias from SF guys, but we aren't talking about High School football man. We're talking about leading a COLLEGE FOOTBALL team. I could truly care less about what kind of legend Winky is, as it pertains to his playing QB at the next level. Duke being a legend, don't have nothing to do with having awesome vision, great short area quickness and breakaway speed and Duke's being a legend didn't help him none on the next level. All the tangible traits on the field are what made Duke successful, in concert with his work ethic and willingness to study, but it starts with the skill set. Winky simply doesn't have the skill set to play QB at the level we want it to be played at.

If he wants to be a QB, I'm positive that he can go somewhere and be Denard for a year or two, but Denard ain't got no championships either and when you run into teams that are the caliber of UF, FSU, and Bama, you need to have a guy who is sound in getting rid of the football.

He should be taken as an athlete and if he doesn't want to move, he can and should go elsewhere.

Only losses were to Notre Dame and Bama...Michigan was down 7-6 to Nebraska when Denard went down...didn't score again in the game. Also lost to Ohio State and South Carolina. Went 12-2 in 2011...losses both on the road.

Denard ended his career as one of the most prolific quarterbacks in the history of college football.

You wouldn't take him as a QB? Silly.

give him an offer. but i don't think he ends up staying at qb. too special at other skills to let him stay there

This whole "take as a QB" thing cracks me up. People act like it's something sacred. Who cares? Nobody is saying Miami should take this guy as their only QB. There is already one committed. Let him compete. Favre was earmarked as a safety and ended up being Favre. Boldin was earmarked as a wide receiver and ended up as wide receiver. Give him a shot and see where it leads.

And what's even funnier is that people are offended that ****y views himself as a QB. Why shouldn't he think he's better than guys like Eduoard and Crow? He's been much more successful at the position than they were. That's the mentality he should have. Let those other guys prove they are better on Greentree.

As I've said, his best position IMO is safety. But I wouldn't count him out at any spot.

These are the types of SoFla kids everyone says "pass" on, and then act surprised when we're 7-5 and those guys are balling out elsewhere.

Stop overthinking.

South Florida.
Athlete.
Baller.
Winner.

That guy is going to be successful in college football. What position? Depends on what college he goes to. If he wants to play QB...you tell him he can play QB just to get his *** here and figure out where he best fits in when he gets here. QB? Awesome. WR? Awesome. Safety? Awesome.

If he ends up at a school like Louisville or something...he'll be a 3 year starter and being an All-Conference player. Don't overthink it...get him, and figure it out later.
